Honest Review: Lunch at Barbeque Nation, Aliganj, Lucknow

Went for lunch at BBQ Nation Aliganj, and the experience was quite underwhelming.

Veg Starters: Disappointing. Panipuri tasted like the ones from lockdown days. Paneer tikka was soft, lacked the grilled texture, and didn’t come with the usual capsicum-onion-tomato combo. Only the crispy corn was enjoyable.

Non-Veg Starters: Fish fingers and chicken wings didn’t impress. Chicken balls were the only good thing on that side.

Drinks: Surprisingly well-made. Masala coke, mixed fresh lime soda, Oreo shake, and iced tea were refreshing and enjoyable.

Chinese Section: Poorly. Chilli garlic noodles were extremely spicy and lacked flavor balance. Gobi Manchurian was bland. They should consider Hakka noodles instead of spicy counterpart.

Veg Main Course: Only Arhar dal was decent. Paneer gravy tasted exactly like the chicken gravy — a sign of laziness in prep. Chole was sour and off-putting.

Non-Veg Main Course: Butter chicken was very average. Chicken biryani was dry, flavorless, and possibly the worst dish on the menu.

Desserts: Gulab jamun shots and vanilla ice cream were good. Phirni lacked taste and texture. Tarts and chocolate shots were average.

Service: Delayed and inattentive. We had to wait quite a bit between requests, and dishes weren’t replenished on time.

Overall: Not worth the hype. Apart from the drinks and a couple of desserts, most dishes were below average. Needs serious improvement in both food quality...

I have visited all the outlets of barbeque nation in lucknow but I particularly like aliganj's one . Their hospitality, staff behaviour , food and ambience are lit.

Ambience: the outlet located in aliganj has a very soothing and calm ambience and the view from the top is outstanding . 5* Staff: Mr Gautam attented me , he wa very polite and well behaved. If you want refill ,he doesnt make you wait . 4.5*

Food: over all-4*

Starter : Chicken tikka, chicken wings, prawns, fish ,juicy pineapple, mushroom, soya chaap, momos- 4.5* What i didn't like was mutton kabab it was very chewy and didnot taste like mutton .It tasted like soya chaap . Main course : Biryani(veg and non veg both) was awesome , you wont get lucknowi biryani there, they serve Hyderabadi Biryani instead.

Noodles-3.5* Pasta- they serve white suace pasta but the sauce was not creamy -2.5*

Chicken masala-4* Laal mans - if you have tasted authentic laan mans , you wont like it , it was made in tomato sauce instead of mathaniya mirch paste.

Barbeque Nation: This has been a place I have visited since those days I was a newbie. To be precise, it was my first new-age restaurant. I have admired the nation each and every time for their efforts. However, let's jump to this one. This is the new outlet at Aliganj and at the outset, the most awaited one. People from Trans-Gomti would not have to take a stride to Gomtinagar for the buffet they would be looking out for. And this unit has uplifted the Brand. Space is pretty much optimum to have occupied large number of folk. And service: good service is sometimes synonymous to the service you would be recieving at BBQ Nation. They are best, and I mean it, best at service. Thanks BBQ Nation to have put in such a helping staff out there. BBQ is known for its starters. We had veg section meal and I would say, you're gonna hit the jackpot. That would just full your appetite. However, this place lacks a lil bit of taste at main course. They have a buffet system. Pre-booking is always recommended, however, these people are genuine enough to serve you even at peak...
