Cafe Hons- House of No Sugar — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

Cute Little hangout place located at Vibhuti Khand near the Cinepolis cineplex. Its a bit difficult to reach as it is within the Kisan bazar and the path is a bit rough.

Ambience: (5/5) The Cafe is very chic. Navy blue themed entirely with cool interiors (really cool, the A.Cs work very well).

Service is good. (5/5)

Food - Everything on the menu is made of No Sugar. With your coffee on the table you get choices to add sugar of your choice such as Brown sugar, fine sugar and Stevia. These are all low calorie, sugar substitutes. I am amazed with this concept, it's pretty good. Menu is brief, they've got a few specials of the day too on the menu that you can try. The food is good, I have tried the shishk tawook which tasted really nice with the Tzatziki, lettuce and crisp tortilla. The dessets are really nice too.

We ordered a main course dish called Jerk Chicken, When the dish came it jerked us...Almost 200 GM's of mashed potato with a thin round piece of absolutely dry chicken breast with 2 cm of black salty paste on the chicken surface....We had to literally scrape of the paste from the chicken surface with a napkin. Sharing a picture of the napkin with which we cleaned the chicken surface...

And then, when we shared our discontent with the manager he happily announced a 10% discount but still had the cheek to make us pay for the trash he fed us...

Alarmed at the fact the owners do not respect the value of an experience and want to churn money from even the trash they present at exorbitant prices... Cheap mindset...

Our dinner was spoilt....Terrible experience, will never go back...

Hons was an amazing experience, far better than what I had in mind. The place is small and quaint and has a coffeshop type feel, though it serves a holistic menu across courses.

We had a series of pastas, and am happy to report that besides the alfredo, all were really nice. The sizzling fajita has a very handsome portion of chicken and may even be enough for two in many cases. Perhaps the cheese balls were the only dissappinting item.

Price is slightly on the higher side, but coupling it with zomato/swiggy offers makes it good. It is also worth mentioning that even though we were a large group, service was very breezy and appropriate.

Lastly, I'd strongly reccomend booking a table beforehand as it can be difficult finding space...
