Grill By The Ocean — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

I always wondered why a restaurant which is located inside a 5 star hotel has that much low rating. During my last visit to Varanasi i went here with my parents for a change.

Place was not that much crowded and ambiance was catchy.

One of the staff guy came to us and handed over the menu. Menu was large and has varities of dishes.

As this was my first visit so i asked him about the signature dishes of the restaurant.

He replied "Sir jo h sab menu me h, signature nhi h" 😑 i guess he didnt understand what i meant to say.

So i ordered Non veg platter so that i can taste all the non veg dishes. I was little bit disappointed as they didnt have options in mocktails other than Lemon Soda.

Non-veg platter was delicious. Best part is my mom and dad also liked the starters. I will recommend every non veg lover to try their non-veg platter.

In main course i ordered 1 chicken gravy dish and 1 fish gravy dish along with rice and breads.

I dont prefer fish curry often but my mom loves fish so we oredred. Fish curry was very delicious. Proper balance of all spices and full of taste.

Only concern here was delay. Yes, we had to wait for 25-30 mins for every order. I would like to request managers here to please ask your staff to be quick. When your chef is doing the best and cooking the best dishes then why the staff is not active?

Worst part was they were not busy, they were chilling in a corner.

We also ordered Shahi Tukda too which later we cancelled after waiting for 20 mins.

No doubt food was good, ambiance was good but i am not happy with the staff.

Hope they will take it positively...

They are trying to copy from bar b q nation but failed. The grill they put in the table didn't have heat at all, there was no taste in kababs when we asked to put more flavor to it they just put red chilli powder on top of kababs after that it was impossible to eat.

When we asked why the food don't have any flavor, they reply that it made according to taste of foreigner. I know places which serves authentic Indian food with Indian spices and foreigners love it but this place is a dull. The only people you see in this restaurant are first timer or who have taken yearly membership of the restaurant.

Food 0/5 Ambiance...

I probably had my best dinner in Varanasi here. Even though the prices are a bit high, I felt value for the money. The taste was delicious. Visit at least...
