The food's good, good quality, decent variety, and hygienic as far as I can tell. The ambiance, space, almost everything is fine. What sucks is their self-service model. Its stupidly designed, and utterly thoughtless. Lets walk through it. You order Chola Bhatura and Buttermilk. You paid upfront. You are given coupons in return. You join the Chola Bhatura queue. Your turn comes. You hand the coupon to the staff manning that counter. He takes his part of the coupon and lets you keep the rest. Now here is what is happening: Your order is placed ONLY WHEN you hand the coupon - the order does not electronically go to the cooks! Now you get your Chola. You have to wait a while for the Bhaturas because lots of people have ordered them, and there's wait.
Meanwhile people are queuing behind you.
Anyway, so you get your Chola Bhatura after 5 - 10 minutes (if you are lucky and in a location like Greater Noida which does not see heavy crowd). You go to your table, put down the Chola Bhatura, and go back for your buttermilk. You gotta find it first, though.
The staff's help is generally limited to a tilt of the head in the general direction of where you are supposed to find the Buttermilk.
If Buttermilk is popular that day, you have another 10-15 minute wait. if you are told it will be delivered to your table, you can be dead sure its at least 20 minutes of wait in lesser-crowded locations, and 30 to 45 minutes in premium locations.
And premium locations like Gurgaon with 2 floors? Absolute nightmare. The crowd has no manners; everyone is rushing everywhere; the counters are overworked - its just an absolute frustration.
I don't go to Haldiram's anymore - unless there are small kids in the group who force the group to relent.
If you are looking for a pleasant, enjoyable dining experience, forget Haldiram's. If you are willing to wait, love Mumbai Metro like scenes, and enjoy the process of hustling and jostling and muscling your way through crowds, go right ahead.

Read moreThe Haldiram’s located inside Max Tower in Greater Noida is truly an amazing outlet. The food you get here is unlike anything I’ve seen at other Haldiram’s. They pay great attention to quantity. When they serve sambar, it’s in a generous amount; when they serve chhole, it’s a large portion too. The chutneys are also excellent. The chefs here are fantastic, and their food is consistently delicious. The sambar is very tasty, and the chhole is outstanding. If you try their chhole bhature, you won’t find better ones at any other Haldiram’s outlet. Their pav bhaji is great too, and their masala dosa and idli are exceptional. The idlis here are quite large in size, unlike other outlets where they give you small idlis and cold chutney straight from the fridge. Here, they serve a good amount of sambar so you can enjoy your four idlis properly. The puris are a great size, served with a good portion of halwa, which is well-made and delicious. At other Haldiram’s, I’ve noticed they’ve reduced the size of idlis and puris and serve small portions of sabzi, but this outlet doesn’t do that—they’re exceptional. The only issue is that the mall where this Haldiram’s is located always seems a bit dirty, with ongoing construction or repairs. However, they keep their own area clean and have personal ACs installed, so there’s no issue sitting and eating there. The only slight inconvenience is getting in and out of the mall. I’d just say that we love going there purely for the taste. So, if you’re a fan of Haldiram’s, you must visit this outlet at least once because they make incredibly good food. Yes, we don’t like their sweets much. They need to pay attention to a few things. They focus more on fulfilling Zomato orders than serving the customers standing in front of them, which feels a bit bad. Many times, you have to repeatedly ask them to provide coupons, saying, “Bhaiya, bhaiya, this is ours, this is ours.” They should prioritize the customer standing in front...

I made the mistake of trusting Haldiram’s for something incredibly important, and they failed miserably. My husband and I decided to sponsor food packets for 350 special kids on their sports day. This was not just an event—it was our heartfelt effort to bring joy and care to these children. Unfortunately, what we received in return was a complete disaster, despite paying a significant amount of money.
I personally went to the outlet, met the manager, placed the order, and ensured every detail was clear. He showed me the box design, and I even took pictures to confirm everything. The order was placed on Tuesday for delivery on Friday at 10 AM sharp. I trusted their promise, made the full payment on Wednesday as they said preparations needed to start early, and even connected the NGO personnel with the manager to ensure seamless communication.
But Friday turned into a nightmare. By 11 AM, NOTHING was ready. NOTHING. The NGO staff called me in a panic while I was at work, saying that there wasn’t a single packet prepared. Can you imagine the humiliation and helplessness I felt? I called the manager repeatedly, and after several tries, he finally picked up—only to offer excuses.
It was not until 2 PM—FOUR HOURS late—that 200 out of the promised 350 packets were ready. By then, most of the kids, who were eagerly waiting for a meal, had left hungry. Hungry! These were special children who deserved better, and Haldiram's let them down so badly.
This wasn’t just about money, though a significant amount was spent. It was about trust, responsibility, and delivering on a promise for a noble cause. Haldiram’s not only ruined the day for those kids but also tarnished our intentions to make a positive difference.
I am furious, disappointed, and deeply hurt. Haldiram’s, you didn’t just fail us—you failed 350 innocent children....
