The receptionist there was very rude. I bought dhokla , rasgulla, and rajbhog and many other sweets from there but everytime I buy something they won't give the cutlery and tissues with the order and it has happened over 10 times. Yesterday I said that they should give spoons and tissues with snacks like dhokla and rasgullas but the cashier rudely replied that they don't give unless they are asked. Then I asked him it's a part of packaging and must be given, obviously you add the cost of packaging in the product price and no one can remember everytime to ask for cutlery. Usually it's provided without asking. Then he said that it's because people waste a lot. Then I asked him why do you give spoons with pastries and fudges and he replied that because people can eat then on their way home in their car. Then I realized this person was lacking common sense and was just making excuses because if people can eat pastries in their car or on their way home or in some kind of park then obviously they would do that with rasgulla and dhokla and various other eatables eaten by spoon. The cashier was so rude and defensive in the tone that made me decide I should not buy from place where customers are not respected and our polite complains are rudely answered like they are not the ones making mistakes we are. I would pay for cutlery extra rather than remembering it everytime I ask from Maharani Zaika. It's not like a side vendor Ki sabji k saath bhaia dhaniya and green chillies dena We are paying you and it's common code to providing tissues and cutlery without asking or atleast hang a board saying....
We don't give cutlery and tissues so ask if you need them and don't dare to ask for extra we don't even give a single piece normally required to eat such eatables. MZ promotes eat with your hands in this covid era...... I think it's just for dosa that it works That staff is down to earth But MZ has reached much heights that they pay their bills by saving from cutlery...

Read moreI am sweta and I would like to express my bad experience about Maharani zayeka restaurant Allahabad that I am a longtime patron of Maharani Zayeka. However, upon returning to Allahabad after a brief absence, I visited the restaurant for diner and was deeply disappointed the quality of food. It appears that since the restaurant has gained popularity, they have begun reducing their portion sizes day by day. Currently, a vegetable dish costs Rs. 350 with additional taxes, and the situation is similar with their rice servings.
I wish to convey that it would be commendable if you could manage the restaurant in a way that caters not only to the affluent but also to the middle class. Unfortunately, the current trend seems to be increasing prices when there is a surge in customers, while simultaneously reducing portion sizes. This approach appears deceptive. I hope this conveys the message...
