Sagar Ratna — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

They keep messing up the mixed veg raita. On my first order they sent proper mixed veg raita with tomatoes cucumber coriander mint etc but on my 2nd order they sent mixed veg raita overloaded by only diced onions & no tomatoes no cucumber no coriander and no mint leaves and when i called them and told them this , they stubbornly told me that they make like this only . They dont listen to customer, i told them to exchange it & send proper raita like my 1st order and they argued with me and then agreed to send a new raita and take this one back. The delivery boy who delivered the raita argued disrespectfully with me alot and angrily stared at me when i told him that this raita has only onions in it. I ordered palak paneer from them also and they dont even give lemon with that as that is necessary in palak . I had to request them while placing order to give lemons but they didnt do so. I had to call them again and they are so rude and reluctant in admitting their mistakes and get angry at the customer & they said we dont give lemons with our food. Poor experience….it was my third visit to the place but turn out to be bad one. We ordered north indian food & “Dal Makhni” was so watery & taste less. We also ordered “Shahi Paneer” & “Malai chaap”. For our surprise, both the dishes had same gravy. At the end my daughter ordered hot chocolate, this one turned out to be a milk with some chocolate sprinkle on it. The washroom was full of foul smell & floor was too wet, now a days even the road side “Dhaba’s” have cleaned toilets. On the top of it, there was group of people who wanted that you should listen to them for 30 minutes for a holiday scheme. I politely suggested, sir I am not interested but still they were in discussion that I am showing off an attitude. I am writing this review after my 4th visit to this place. My 1st two experience is okay neither say good nor say bad, but not as expected to other chains of Sagar ratna, may be because they are new. And my last two experience here are good as they improved with the taste and service. The decor of the restaurant is a decent, you will get a vibe of old school restaurant. Nothing much fancy inside or urban or Gen z kind. I have tried many cousine here, my favourite is veg cheese dosa and idli chaat. I also tried Mysore rawa, podi idli, idli fries, idli chaat, paneer soda, chettinad dosa, podi ghee dosa. I think with time this place will grow in terms of service and taste.
