We ordered Gravy Manchurian, Garlic Naan, Rajma, Jeera Rice, Spring rolls, fresh lime and manchow soup.
Soup- 4.5/5 (noodles were not crispy)
Fresh lime- 1/5 (Made with Room temperature water and was very sweet even when we mentioned sweet and sour)
Spring rolls- 2.5/5 (Bulky filling with average taste, layer was not at all crispy. More like veg rolls)
Rajma- 4.5/5 (Gravy consistency was thick and more like to be consumed with roti. Rest taste was up to mark)
Jeera Rice- 4/5 (Good quality but very less quantity and was very expensive. They add jeera tadka with ghee so if you are not a ghee lover, please mention it to them)
Manchurian- 5/5
Garlic naan- 3.5/5 (Naan crisp and softness was great and it was very big. But they served garlic from top and didn’t cook it in tandoor along with naan which made it taste like raw garlic)
Ambience- 3/5 (Noisy and crowded)
Food service- 3/5 (Very slow and stewards were busy serving in inside area and took a lot of time to come to us for placing orders and stuff)
So overall, dicey dining experience. Some good...
Read moreHoshiyar puri is a good hotel in the city. This new restaurant is good nice ambience good infra, but I feel the taste of the old hotel in main Haridwar is far better than this new hoshiyarpuri. I have seen long queue on the old restaurant due to its authentic taste. Not only the people of Haridwar but the tourist also know the restaurant by it's name. If they bring that taste here it will be awesome with the mix of traditional taste & new building. If you want good taste then go to main Haridwar branch though the taste of this restaurant is not bad, but if you compare it with the main branch its nothing. If you are foodie than you must try the food of Haridwar branch or you can have other options as well like Mohan puri, sindhi, mathura Wala etc.
If you are a chhole bhature fan than you must go to pehlwan or a shop just adjusent to Haridwar kotwali (forgot the name of the shop).
Hope my review will change the taste of the restaurant.
Thanks in...
Read moreHoshiarpuri restaurant is a comparatively new entry into restaurants community of Haridwar, although the brand Hoshiyarpuri altogether is very old name in food and cuisine in haridwar, the original eatery is in Haridwar main bazar which is quite a crowd catcher, and the food is known for every thing positive over there. The diversification into a fancy restaurant seems like the best approach to cater crowd from other areas where the old one isn't accessible or feasible. Though the name is very big in food in the city and obviously people like big names, and overall the restaurant is very good, but from quality and taste point of view there are better restaurants in the Ranipur more and jwalapur area in haridwar. Plus less to no parking area is a big problem and restaurant doesn't heed to this issue as they are already over crowded with customer...
