Invitation Restaurant — Restaurant in Uttarakhand

This is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to in Haridwar. There are not just one but many areas where it lags behind to almost every other competitor they have. Let me try to share my experience -

Basic courtesy - The waiters are rude and not well trained. I asked for ice cubes in my water. He said the water is cold enough. Eh? Dude - Go get me ice, not your business to make assumptions about my taste. Da !!!!

Menu card allocation - We were 8 people and he gave 2 menus. I asked we need 6 more menus and he murmured in a way that he wanted to say that why can't we share. Darn it.

Half soups cost 40 rs more - This is the most bizarre thing I ever seen in a restaurant. I mean, it's not a roadside dhaba. So unprofessional. I have been twice to Hoshiarpuri (near Khanna Nagar) and they don't have any such thingy and their prices are comparable.

Bills are not computerized - What a crap. My bill was around 4000 rs and he gave a receipt on a dirty paper with things written by hand which were totally not readable. CHEAP.

No credit cards accepted - So they want everyone's pocket filled with cash. Come on guys, what era you are living in. Every god-damn restaurant of your size accepts cards. I was so embarrassed since I didn't have enough cash and I had to borrow money from my friends who I took them to dinner.

Please note, I was in haridwar to meet my parents for a week and almost every night we ate out. The best I found is Hoshiarpuri for their excellent service. They took card, waiters were nice. They made naans for our choice, no extra money on half/half soup. My wife loved their hospitality and in return the Steward (waiter) got 200 rs trip.

Request to owner - You already have got enough to improve on your tray and you lost one customer already. Please keep others...

It's a pathetic place for those who really want a good service from a particular restaurant. I was there and it took 1.5 hr there due to pathetic service. Even after half an hour they didn't served the bread to eat, even after placing an order with different waiters. For water also regular request were placed. And when I told this to the owner, he just told sorry, bahar log wait kar rahe hain. I mean he doesn't care for us. I think it's the worst restaurant in haridwar as of now. Have been eating here for past 15 years or so. This restaurant has made its mark for quality food in haridwar. The taste , quality and quantity has always been great here. They haven't changed a bit and that is the best part. The restaurant brings nostalgia every time we dine here. So many amazing memories are associated with this restaurant. Invitation is a household name among local residents, and goes filled almost every evening. I recommend hot n sour soup, cream of mushroom soup as appetizer, paneer tikka masala, jalfrezi, kadhai paneer, baked vegetable, vegetable munchurian, dal, etc as main course, and onion kulcha/,garlic naan for bread.
