Kundan's quality has deteriorated over time. It is at its worst now a days. It is definitely overpriced as one compare quality and quantity of food. Here are some bullets to summarize Kundan's Sweet and Restaurant: It is clostrophobic! Dining area in Kundan restauraunt is hardly 300 Sq feet and Kundan tries to fit in around 70 people in there. While the room is AC, in reality it rarely works. It is over priced! Kundan enjoys monopoly and thus they charge more than the market rates. Many sweets are almost double its market price but frankly, quality and taste don't do justice with what you pay. Their sweets are overly sweet. In-hospitable management and staff! Well, Kundan's staff and management feels they are doing a favour by allowing you entry in their restauraunt. You are greeted with dead faces as you enter. If you complain about bad service/food, staff might blame your taste buds. Guys, you deserve better. Finally, they can ruin your special days like Birthday, Anniversary etc. if you don't purchase their overpriced and stale cake which they claim to offer at 10% discount but in reality it is 200% pricy as compared to market rate. They won't let you celebrate and cut your cake if you don't buy one from them. Concluding: You may like to skip Kundan's as most of they time they serve standard tasteless food and rather try some other substitutes like Village Vatika, Punjabi Rasoi, Diner's Villa, Food Bunglow etc. For sweets, try Rawat Sweets at Lakhanpur Chungi. They serve much better taste, quality and quantity at a genuine price as compared to Kundan. Their Ras Malai is the...
Read moreMost of the tourists visit Ramnagar for Corbett and majority of them stay in Dhikuli area which is located between town and entry gate of Dhikala. There are restaurants in that area. However, for those staying in Ramnagar town, the choice appears to be limited more so if they are pure vegetarian. This sweet shop cum restaurant is best choice for such persons. It is not a fine dining type restaurant but a fast food type restaurant. The restaurant is on first floor. If you have a four wheeler you will have to leave it on main road and walk a bit. They serve large variety at reasonable price. We stayed at Ramnagar for 4 days and invariably had our lunch and dinner here. We tasted almost all major dishes but was surprised to find dal-bhat which is ideal for those who want to escape...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at Kundan Ramnagar. From the moment we arrived, the service was extremely poor—our entire family was ignored at the start, and we had to wait quite a while before anyone even acknowledged us. The food took an unusually long time to arrive; even the garlic bread, which should be quick and simple, took 15–20 minutes to serve, and when it finally came, it looked and tasted like plain toasted sandwich bread, not proper garlic bread. The overall quality of the food was below average, and the staff seemed uninterested and inattentive throughout our visit. For a place that claims to offer good service and food, this experience was far from it. I genuinely hope they take this feedback seriously and work on improving both their food standards and...
