Swad south Indian restaurant — Restaurant in Uttarakhand

If you are in Mussoorie and interested in some delicious south indian food and the ambience doesn't matter, then Swad South Indian restaurant is THE place to go. My Husband and I spotted this restaurant on our walks to Landour cantonment area from Landour Baazar. We went there to satiate our craving for Idli-dosa but we ended up ordering Idli, Vada, Uttapam and Masala dosa.

The server first brought us the Idlis and Vadas with piping hot Sambhar and three chutneys (coconut, mint and onion tomato). The sight of chutney and the aroma of sambhar was tempting. Upon eating them, we both felt that these were the best Idli-Sambhar and Vada Sambhar we had eaten so far. My husband not being a big fan of Vada-sambhar, relished each bite he had. After eating them, our taste buds got activated and we craved more for the remaining of our order.

Without much delay, Uttapam was served to us again in an appealing manner which was soft yet crisp and extremely filling due to its thickness. We devoured the tasty uttapam in no time. By this time our stomachs were full but our hearts weren't. Hence, we looked forward to our last order- Masala Dosa which didn't disappoint us either. The masala preparation was different from what most outlets serve, hence tastier.

Over all we had an amazing experience, the place was small but hygienic, extremely economical with the most delicious food. To top it all, both the servers and the chef were extremely kind and humble. They opened their outlet and started the food preparation earlier than usual upon request for breakfast...

Mouthwatering taste that's all I want to say. They will make you so comfortable with their food, you'll have to visit again & again. I can say a authentic South India Food..The Chef alone beating the taste of all leading south Indian restaurant who are claiming the best taste but not giving..and all with high rates..as they focused more on their earning..But at Swad Restaurant you will get the food at the best price and quality you can't even think. A must go eat place for your loved ones in Landour Mussoorie... I am looking for this authentic taste from long time and found it in Mussoorie..its a blessed...

I recently tried the swad apecial dosa at [swad restaurant ] and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The dosa was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior giving way to a soft and fluffy interior. The filling was flavorful and generous, with just the right amount of spiciness. The sambar and chutney served on the side were authentic and added to the overall experience. The service was prompt and friendly, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic dosa experience. 10/10 would visit again!"...
