Ruchi's Bageecha Hotel — Restaurant in Vasai-Virar

My visit did not turn out well. I arrived at 6:15 with my friend to beat the rush/ heat. I was greeted at the front door and lead to the dinning room. We were the only once in the entire restaurant and yet faced below standard/ poor customer service.

We ordered a Budweiser and asked for 2 roasted papad to seek time to order our food items.

We rejected 4 Budweiser bottles as it was not even close to Chilled and was very close to room temperature. The 5th bottle was opened without are approval and was served. The papad followed within few mins and was stale/ was more like a bread texture. Having seen enough we decided to confront the Resturant Manager (Vibhuti), we were shocked to hear his responses. He mentioned that the Refrigerator is turn off during afternoon so the beer temperature is warm and the papad was roasted in bulk at lunch service so it’s not crisp.

Why was this even attempted to be served to us, is the question.?? To add to the entire situation the resturant manager does not even have the courtesy to take ownership and ensure better service. He was simply quite, unapologetic and had a stupid smile on his face as if so this was funny.

We confronted him with below questions:

If the restaurant refrigerator is turned off WHY was the warm beer served to us? His response: It’s a mistake.

Why was the stale food served to us which was roasted 5 hours back? His response: It’s a mistake from our end.

As a resturant manger we asked him if He double checked if the services are up to the mark or did a quality check of the food that’s left the kitchen?? His response: No it’s a mistake from my end.

We asked if the customer service was missed on all fronts and if its known to you, what is your plan of action, and for what are we paying for if there was no service? No response.

It’s not about the money. We still paid for the beer which we did not consume. We had major issue with his reposes to our concerns and his lack of action against it.

We were not provided any proper feedback form inspite of asking for it number of times. One of his staff apologised on his behalf but the manager was drunk with power and had a lethargic approach through this entire episode. No courtesy. No people management. No customer handling skills.

Overall rating, our experience at your establishment was not near what we had come to expect. Hopefully you will set a level of excellence and ensure that no other customer goes through such a...

While searching for a place to dine with my family today, I stopped at Bageecha for dinner. I used to be a regular visitor here with friends during my college days. Back then, it was a local joint often crowded with regular drinkers. Now, things have changed for the better. The place has beautiful interiors, a luxurious lobby, great food, and an awesome, warm staff. I ordered the Bombay duck pan fry, basa chili, and prawns triple rice. The food was mesmerizing, and the best part was that they also served Diet Coke. They accept all modes of payment. Parking is on the road and not difficult to find. There is a large seating area available for boys to party, and the air-conditioned family section is highly recommended. Hope to return...

Expected more from this place ! Located near Status Hotel, this place is nicely planned. Has AC seating, open seating and family seating. Food is just good, not the best. Time required to serve is more than needed.
