Food City — Restaurant in West Bengal

Stars are solely for it's timings. One of the most convenient joints on campus because it's open for all 3 meals of the day, not closing for breaks. Which means it's a great option for quick snacks. Service times are usually good, although a little pestering might be needed when crowds are large. You get usual grocery type items as well - chips, cold drink, biscuits. Located opposite RK, it's also the closest place to main building (which is kind of an indictment of eating options) Food quality is not bad at all, though some items are circumspect. Order what's being ordered the most (usually puri, noodles, parathas etc). Has an adjoining chaat/juice shop that takes a looong time, even for Chai. Don't order unless you have 20-30...

It takes too long for your order to be ready. There has never been a time where I have got my order under 45 mins. One time I ordered samosa chaat, the guy literally ordered samosas from Zomato to prepare the chaat. That's the level of mismanagement happening here. Giving two starts just because it is a part of IIT Kharagpur campus. Otherwise not even...

The food is decent, the place isn't that good, but certainly enough to have food quickly without wasting much time. The menu is fairly large, the outdoor seating is somehow cooler, maybe due to the trees nearby. The price is on the lower side. The crowd isn't that high on weekdays. Overall, it's a considerable place in this area...
