Review for Barasat Karim's Chicken Biryani
As the admin of Barasat Online, I recently had the pleasure of trying out Barasat Karim's Chicken Biryani, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. Not only was the taste exceptional, but the home delivery service was prompt and efficient.
Let's start with the star of the show, the Chicken Biryani. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. The rice was perfectly cooked and each grain was separate, just as it should be in a good biryani. The chicken pieces were tender, succulent, and marinated in rich spices that added a burst of flavors to every bite. The balance of spices was spot-on, not too overwhelming but still leaving a lingering warmth in every mouthful. The biryani was garnished with fried onions, mint leaves, and a squeeze of lemon, enhancing the overall taste and presentation.
The portion size was generous, ensuring a satisfying meal. The packaging was neat and sturdy, keeping the biryani fresh and warm until it reached my doorstep. The delivery service was efficient, with the food arriving on time and in perfect condition. The delivery personnel were polite and followed all the necessary safety protocols, which is highly appreciated during these times.
The overall experience with Barasat Karim's Chicken Biryani was excellent. The flavors, quality, and service were top-notch. It's evident that the restaurant takes pride in their craft and pays attention to every detail. I would highly recommend trying their Chicken Biryani to anyone in Barasat who appreciates a flavorful and authentic biryani experience.
Whether you're looking to satisfy your own cravings or planning a family gathering, Barasat Karim's Chicken Biryani is definitely worth ordering. I can't wait to try out more dishes from their menu and explore the other flavors they have to offer.
Kudos to the team at Barasat Karim's for providing such a delightful culinary experience right at my doorstep. Keep up...

Went for lunch with my wife and kid. Had the following - Murgh tandoori - very ordinary - 1.5⭐️ Mixed veg -2.5⭐️ Butter naan -3.5⭐️ Mutton biryani - 4⭐️
Strike 1 - ample spelling mistakes in the menu card, raising doubts about the authenticity (how can they not do such easily addressable quality checks?)
Strike 2 - murgh tandoori was of very ordinary taste further raising suspicion
Strike 3 - waited for a long time for food to arrive. I even asked the table manager to serve us the biryani before the naan & mixed veg as we were waiting for quite some time, but to no avail. The mixed veg came first followed by the biryani (of course this is the normal flow of things, but since we were hungry, i tried addressing the same by eating something - mutton biryani in this case as it was easily available)
Strike 4 - the mixed veg had a fancy name given to it in the menu but in actuality it consisted of only paneer & beans
Strike 5 - started having the mutton biryani and it tasted really nice but as we were unearthing the rice, I found 1 large hair in it 😅😅
Strike 6 - limited menu availability (maybe cos it has just opened up) but I went to Karim’s to taste the Jama Masjid biryani; instead the menu only has “Kolkata special biryani”
Too many negatives to start off with. A positive anecdote - the table manager acknowledged the hair in our biryani, gave us a fresh one in its place & served us 2 complimentary firnis. 👍🏼
Overall, I didn’t leave hungry but I couldn’t relish my meal either, as it was marred with too many noticeable events.
Since, dining is about the experience in totality, Would i go in for a dine in again in the near future? NO. Would i go sometime later when things have smoothened out for them?...
Read moreWorst! Worst! Worst! Review on 8 Sept, 2024! We ordered 2 Mutton Biriyani, 1 Chicken Chaap and 1 Cold drinks. After 20 minutes the waiter says Chicken Chaap will have only Chest piece. We received the Biriyani after 30 mins which was good whatsoever. Thinking Chicken Chaap would be a good go-to item and given how good the name of Karims' is we ordered the Chicken Chaap and asked for cold drinks. The waiter brought the chicken chaap and after nagging him for another 10 mins received the cold drinks. The chicken chaap was an absolute disaster, the chicken was stale from around over a month or 2 which they had fried and made thick spicy mixture so that it doesn't smells foul, we thought that chicken chaap is always a little gravy and lightly prepared delicacy and its never fried. It was so bad I couldn't eat after a bite, my father being like all Indian fathers ate it thinking it comes at that hefty price and why to waste money or food. Imagine this was not all, they brought the bill and charged ₹50 +GST for a 200ml glass bottle of Thums-Up. Yes you read that right, it hardly costs under 13-14 ₹ on a Grocery stores we have. That being not enough foul play, they put up 300ml in that bill instead of what they handed us, yes they charged us of 300ml when they served us 200ml.
PS This isn't original Karims from Delhi, this is a franchise registered under...
