A Dining Experience with a View to Remember! âââââ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Goodricke Teapot, Mirik, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled in a picturesque location, this restaurant offers not just a meal but an unforgettable experience where delicious food meets breathtaking scenery of Mirik lake with pine forest backdrop. Ambiance and View: The first thing that struck me upon arrival was the stunning view. Whether you're seated indoors or on the outdoor, you're treated to a panoramic vista of serene lake with greenery of Pine forest. Dining here feels like stepping into a postcard! The atmosphere is both relaxing and elegant, with tastefully designed interiors that complement the natural surroundings. Food and Tea: The menu is a delightful blend of local flavors, and every dish (Veg & Chiken meal and Chiken Kothe) we tried was a masterpiece. Lastly we took a pot of exclusive Darjeeling Tea. It was a sip of heaven. The tea was clearly of the highest quality. The first whiff of the tea transported me to the misty hills of Darjeeling. Service: The service was impeccable! The staff were friendly, attentive, and well-informed about the menu. They made excellent recommendations and ensured our dining experience was seamless from start to finish.

The ambiance is just perfect with the gentle breeze blowing by. Although the menu selection is limited, it still manages to meet expectations. During my brunch, I ordered a pizza, spaghetti bolognese, and fish and chips, and I was impressed with all of them. The pizza crust was thin and crispy, the spaghetti was not too spicy, and the fish and chips were exceptional with a crispy coating and juicy basa inside. Though it would have been even better if they used vetki fish.
The only downside was the slow service, which can be frustrating, but the view and food quality more than make up for it. The pocket pinch is around âč500-600 per person. Overall, I would rate Goodricke Cafe an 8 out of 10. If you're en route to Darjeeling or NJP via Mirik, I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant for a memorable...
