This is wonderful place for Kerala style food lovers, but I feel there is a mix of Tamil Nadu style in here, I am from Tamil Nadu, my favorite is satti choru, the rice and food in the satti is more than enough for your meal, the taste and healthy of the food is great, this comes with avial, a poriyal, pickle and coconut thokku, first day instead of pickle i got a mix of sweet and mangoe (we call in tamil as mangoe pachadi) check my picture, my office is near to this place my friend and myself tried few shops in the past 2 weeks, out of which we liked Kanji Kadai as its best, 130-150rs for the meal / briyani, if you go in a group you can add some sides and per head cost may go between 150-200rs max, the owner of this place is so humble and nice and he accepts feedback and explains in detail of his cooking style where he add flavors with healthy recipes, we were talking about a tamrind variety which he use in his curry, he was so transparent in explaining the name of it, just to be of privacy I am not sharing that detail here, I recommend the menu should have more information about the dish, like what you have in satti choru, so new comers can understand, you can't explain each and every person coming to your place. Other feedback to be considered the dinner menu I see the puttu and side served separately, but you have to give some default veg curry, I seen in Kerala the puttu comes by default with kadala curry why not here or at least some kind of gravey because 50rs dosa comes with chutney why not the puttu :-) All the best Ramees, other feed back some of my colleagues feel that fish piece you give with satti choru is small and its not enough where as chicken dish is enough with pieces, they have fish polichathu and porichathu, try the polichathu which is Kerala signature i guess never seen other than kappa chakka kandhary in Nungambakkam, they also have evening snacks kai pola was nice attaching menu and picture. Butter milk and sweet payasam in the lunch is awesome must try it and go for a repeat, nanari sarbath to be tried once, please avoid green chilly in that,...
Read moreWe went to the hotel on Saturday by 7.30 Pm. We expected a good experience from the hotel. But nothing in the menu was available & the staff was saying that the cook was yet to come. They said only ghee rice & kanji was available. Finally the one who was taking order checked & said they can arrange for parotta & chapathi but only chicken curry is available no other option. We were forced to order the same & then we checked why the situation is like this.. as it's weekend u guys have to prepared for the family crowd like that. The guy was literally saying that we are all prepared but the cook have to come he is little late if we can wait for 20-30mins they can arrange accordingly. Then later they served parotta & chapathi with the chicken curry which was too watery & they were charging 230 Rs /- for that curry which was not even worth & quantity also too less without pieces. The chapathi was like pappad, then after notifying they changed to parotta. Too bad experience as we visited this place earlier & it was decent. But now a days they are not even keeping basic things. Will never visit...
Read moreMy husband and I went there because he recommended their food. However, he did warn me that their service and time taken to serve food is not great. 'Not great' did not prepare me for what we went through. We walked in at 9 pm for dinner. We were seated at 9 10 pm. The waiter took our order, of ghee rice with chicken curry and payaru kanji, soon after and the wait began! We waited for twenty mins patiently because they were serving other customers. By 9 30, we started playing word cross on our mobiles. At 10 pm, the food had still not arrived. We finally told them that we are tired of waiting and walked out. The food honestly smelt amazing! Mouth watering even! Please select Kanji Kadai on swiggy or zomato and get food delivered. Your experience will he much better if you do that. Do not visit the restaurant, especially, during dinner...
