Cili padi restaurant — Restaurant in Ambon

Another place gone bad. This used to be a fantastic restaurant:

BEFORE: nice verandha, great food, great prices NOW: still has a nice verandha, where we sat, but the food was rubbish, and each dish for a different reason. Firstly ... they didnt have 75% of the seafoid items on the menu, including the sauces for cooking fish - no padang, no jimbaran sauce. We ordered nasi goreng pineapple seafood ... we found one tiny strip of squid, one tiny shrimp, and one microscopic pineapple piece - it had zero flavour, and not one piece of chilli. Sweet and sour prawns - tiny portion for the price and a just a sweet red sauce - zero sour. Squid telur asin - actually quite nice but small portion. The only dish that was good was the buncis sechuan - probly cos green beans are so cheap so there was plenty of ut. We arrived hungry, we left hungry.

The only saving grace was: 1. the balcony - but bitten to death by mozzies and we were the only guests, so it was uncomfortable and no atmosphere; and 2. the serving lady was very nice and efficient.

Apparently this restaurant has changed ownership and it shows,...

Kembali lagi ke selera dan pengalaman masing-masing pengunjung mungkin berbeda, untuk saya sendiri terus terang cukup kecewa, menu lumayan bagus dan bervariasi tp saat saya pesan ikan bakar alasan pelayan ikan bakar lama penyiapan dan nanti akan timbul asap yg mengganggu kalau memang demikian untuk apa tersedia menu ikan bakar, saya pesan ikan tim kembali alasan pelayanan prosesnya lama disuruh ganti menu alhasil saya pesan ikan goreng, kemudian istri pesan kepiting saos, utk bumbunya enak, tapi kepitingnya asin sekali, sampai tidak bs dimakan dan kami bungkus bawa pulang, sampai dirumah direbus ulang biar tdk asin.Dengan harga spt itu cukup kecewa dg makanan dan pelayanan...

They have good food, good mood. Quite big parking space considering this place is in the middle of commerce area. They have live music too, however they took a long time to prepare...
