Cafe Bintang Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Bali

Before I start: best baked bananas ever (better than the fried!!).

This restaurant, together with Warung Pengkolan, were our Go To-restaurants during our weeklong stay at Eden Taman cottages. Both were AMAZING!!

Yes, Bintang could do with some more atmosphere, e.g. invest in some form of music installation. However, the food is great. Both Balinese as the Japanese twist.

The service is really friendly and the cooks are hardworking. I reckon it might be a family. The waitress is a really lovely girl.

The food AND drinks get andmade and thus may take some time, but let's you enjoy your company and the lovely flavours coming from the kitchen. Everything we ate was awesome: Nasi Campur, Syu Ruy Ramen. Even the tofu croquettes were great. Handmade, added herbs and garlic, the sauces, wow! The sambal, go easy on it, as well.

And last, but not least, great prices.

The kitchen gets cleaned after the order and is superb.

Go here and escape Ubud business with some views over the rice fields! And dont skip the bananas....

We arrived on a Thursday evening to a surprisingly quiet restaurant, normally when a restaurant is quiet it's not a good sign but this couldn't be further from the truth for Cafe Bintang.

The staff were delightful, extremely polite and friendly.

We ordered several things from the menu, 3 large Bintang beers and the total price for 2 was less than what you'd expect to pay for a meal for 1 in a UK restaurant.

We had the deep fried tofu, spring rolls, vegetable Goyoza, nasi goreng, chicken satay and a few other bits. All of which were delicious and fresh.

I couldn't recommend this place enough if you're in the area, it's worth going out of...

Definitely a place to visit. The food, the staff and the place is super cozy. We went for the food and stayed for the energy. Very friendly staff and the food was really good and prices were also good. We ordered the tempura veggies, fried chicken and soup and it was all delicious! We actually worked online a bit from there and it was perfect. Fast wifi and outlets available. When it was getting dark they lit up some mosquito repellent and electric candles and it created an even cozier atmosphere. A really, really nice place which we will be...
