Coffee Engine — Restaurant in Bali

I gave 2 stars just because the coffee was very good. If you want a good coffee, go there although for a breakfast I won't recommend. I could have give 5 just for the coffee and the first person I talked to was nice. Although they made us wait 1h30 for 3 omelettes and a big breakfast, when we were the only customers! And when it is time to pay Barely any apologies about that or commercial gesture for the time we had to wait. Communication with your customers is key, if you know you are alone and can't cook fast at least let your clients know so they can decide if they still want food or not. This was our last day in Bali and we had to waste 1h waiting when we had other places to go. So if you want to have a very good cup of coffee Melbourne style go for it. But waiting 1h for a plate missing an egg (it said 2 eggs we only had one), mushroom from a can and cut tomatoes no thank you. Maybe they are better and faster with Indonesian food though. Not the same as the photos. This place is literally a box with a few tables. It’s sad and empty. Came in two days ago pretty early and the guy working said they only have toast available to order. Not a single other thing was available. He said he didn’t have any other food that was listed on the menu. I wanted to try one of the unique coffee flavors and he said it also wasn’t available. My boyfriend ended up getting a cappuccino to drink but wasn’t impressed. The working the counter seemed uninterested and miserable. They have a breakfast special for coffee and a toast. Coffee Engine is a small and cozy place that has a good mix of demographics towards younger & older peers. I hanged around for about 3 hours and had 2 great & consistent Vanilla Latte's, which was made by none other, Jack. The owner, Anna, along with her staff members were super kind & ensured that every customer was well taken care of. As well as inquiring feedback of their product and staff services. I would definitely recommend this place for a cup of coffee & if you'd like to socialize amongst other peers. I will definitely return to Coffee Engine in the near future.
