I'm not sure how people are rating this place more than 2 stars. Sadly, it really is awful despite having a beautiful view. My personal tour today has been great up until he proposed this restaurant as my lunch option. I wish I looked at the buffet and refused but I don't like being difficult and didn't think it could be that bad. I was wrong. The food looks and taste stale and like they've been stirring it around all day so that it "appears" fresh. It's not.
There was something on my plate of mains that was giving off an unpleasant stench and I figured out it was the beef dish. I nibbled at the beef anyway and confirmed it was off and spat it out. Everything was bland, tasteless, lifeless, and sad.
Oh and the menu has no price on the buffet menu so I should have been immediately wary. He told me the pice was 120.000 idr but per the most recent comments the price ranges from 100-145k (not sure what the factors are).
I also got a margarita which was 53.000 and was served in a martini glass... without a salted rim. So all in all I'll be paying 200.000+ to be throughohly unimpressed. Thanks. 👍🏾
Also side note: the entire staff is coughing. I'm done. I can't... Save yourself the money...
Read moreWe had booked Kintamani tours and this was the destination where they got us for lunch. Mind-blowing experience. The restaurant faces Mount Batur and you can get a glimpse of Lake Batur. Quiet a romantic place to have lunch. Make sure to get the corner seat to get a better view of the mountains. Washrooms are clean but the latch to th doors are loose enough. They had buffet system and a live counter for spring rolls and Satay ..food was served piping hot and there were many options to choose from. Crispy bananas were tasty and heard it from our driver that it is one snack eaten in the morning along with coffee. Rice pudding was different for me but I liked it. Chocolate in it would have added more taste. Crispy chicken was ok as it was not spicy at all. Fried rice and noodles could be made more spicy with the Sambhal. Fruits were freshly cut as per requirement. They had normal plates along with cane baskets to have food. Something different we found. Drinks were chargeable. Would definitely recommend to visit once. Also one can take enough photos of this...
Read moreLet me tell you about the most disappointing meal I've ever had in Bali. We started with the buffet, which was cold - so bad that we actually complained and switched to ordering from the menu. Strike one. My husband, who can't handle spicy food, specifically asked for something mild. Guess what? The satays arrived absolutely drowning in chillies. Strike two. But the grand finale was this Tiramisu Crepe cake that looked so promising. I took a bite, and my heart just sank. The cream between the crepes tasted completely off - spoiled, weird, just plain wrong. And it wasn't just me being paranoid - my husband took a bite and immediately said the same thing, without me even mentioning my thoughts first. We tried to be responsible and told the staff the cream seemed expired. Their response? Total indifference. They couldn't have cared less. Not a single apology, not even a pretence of concern. Hands down, the worst food experience in Bali. Absolutely terrible. They don’t have enough turnover and seem to be...
