Hura Restaurant — Restaurant in Bali

We discovered this amazing restaurant which is part of The Pala Ubud Villas in Pejeng Kelod, just a short drive from Ubud central. From the moment we arrived at this gem we were greeted by the most attentive staff...from the parking area staff to the front reception right through to the restaurant staff. My wife and I enjoyed the whole dining experience so much the first time that we decided to go back and try the menu again and we weren't disappointed. Chef - Kadek Widana has put together a wonderful menu to cater for local food and international food tastes. Kadek personally greeted us to ensure we were satisfied with the food and overall experience. He obviously has a passion for his chosen career as a chef and his love shows in his warm attitude. Professionalism and a quality dining experience is something they strive for at Haru and they do it successfully. The surroundings are nothing short of serene, the restaurant is set amongst a lovely garden setting surrounded by rice paddies which creates a relaxing ambience. You would be forgiven for thinking you are as far as you can get from Ubud's hustle bustle, yet here all you hear is the relaxing sounds of the river at the back of the property and the sounds of nature. Do try this establishment, you wont be disappointed. Hura is our new restaurant of choice and my wife and I are looking forward to...

We absolutely loved our visit to Hura. The Chef came out to greet us personally and was very detailed in sharing many of the timely & patient processes used for much of their food preparation, as well as explaining about the organic produce that is grown just a few meters away, within the hotel/restaurant grounds, which is absolutely beautiful. The Chef even took some time aside to play a game of foosball with my daughter and sharing a moment alongside the beautiful Koi Pond. The food was impeccable and speaks for itself, but it is exactly the other small qualities and kind gestures that makes for a winning restaurant and hotel experience. I say this as a partner/owner of a few boutique/eco-hotel & restaurants in the Mexican Caribbean.

Really nice green gardens surrounding the restaurant, the restaurant and atmosphere is beautiful and clean. The service is the best, every staff member is kind and professional, felt like luxurious service. The food was amazing, both my husband and I ordered traditional Indonesian dishes but sometimes they offer specials, so ask them what they recommend - everything is good on their menu. Pricing was so affordable, we kept ordering more and more - we spent about $35 in Aus - that includes a couple drinks each, dinner each, and dessert! Like crazy affordable and you can do much less! We’re going to visit again 100%. And I bet their breakfast is...
