I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ketela restaurant in Changgu, Bali, and it was an experience to remember.

One of the standout features of the restaurant is the inviting pool that sits at the center of the outdoor dining area. It creates a tranquil atmosphere and is the perfect spot to take a dip and cool off during a hot day in Bali.

Now, let's talk about the food. My girlfriend and I tried a few different dishes, and we were blown away by the flavors and presentation. I had the jackfruit burger, which was one of the best vegan burgers I've ever tasted. The patty was perfectly seasoned and had a satisfying texture, while the bun was soft and pillowy. The burger came with a side of crispy sweet potato fries, which were simply irresistible.

My girlfriend opted for the yellow curry, which was packed with fresh vegetables and chunks of tofu. The curry had a perfect balance of spices and creaminess and was served with a generous portion of fragrant jasmine rice.

To top off our meal, we ordered a refreshing pitcher of homemade lemonade, which was the perfect complement to the bold flavors of our dishes.

Throughout our visit, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal to the fullest.

An Unforgettable Birthday Celebration at Ketela 🍰🥰

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday at Ketela Restaurant and Lifestyle, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, the service was impeccable – truly on par with silver-service standards.

Our server, Putri, was phenomenal. Her warmth and attentiveness made the afternoon feel so special, and she ensured that every detail was taken care of. I went for a swim and before I even looked around to find a staff member to ask for a towel, I had Putri standing in front of me with a towel in hand. One of the highlights of the afternoon was when she and the staff surprised us with a beautiful birthday cake, which added such a thoughtful touch to the celebration.

The food was fantastic, with each dish perfectly presented and bursting with flavour. It’s clear that the chef team at Ketela takes pride in delivering an exceptional dining experience. We each had a main, some snacks and 3-4 cocktails which came to around 550k per person

After doing a sizeable amount of hedonism the previous night, my friends and I were looking for a low-key, laid back and refreshing place to float our worries away. Lucky, we found Ketela only a short walk away from our already very lovely villa. It was a welcome break. Ketela was waiting for us with open arms, and we were able to access the pool after only ordering a drink and meal each. The staff were also very accomodating to our fatigued decision making and after a bit of um-ing and ar-ing on the ordering front we settled into a lovely afternoon. The pool itself was a haven as we flocked under the rusting bamboo leaves and swooned between our deck chairs and frozen drinks. I can definitely recommend the watermelon granita. A far cry from the Canggu beach bottle-o Soju from the night before. The gado-gado and assorted nasi dishes also went down a treat.
