Mavammy — Restaurant in Bali

Bad service makes bad atmosphere and bad experience ( Sorry to write it , but just want to inform other customers and the management of the place. I came to have breakfast, and I came with my to go coffee which I previously bought in a coffee shop. So I started to order and in the end of my ‘speech’ I was told that the cafes policy is no ‘other coffees’ then in-house. I said I was sorry and asked if may be I can use their cup and just pour the coffee from my (no name!!) cup to theirs. For example – that is a comfy option in Alchemy cafe and many other cafes here in Bali (unless there are plenty of cafes which will never even notice the fact of another coffee). But mavammy refused and I was given 2 options: buy coffee in their cafe or just replace mine with in-house water :)

So I left, as I’ve already bought my favorite coffee and truly didn’t get the situation. I went to twomoods to have amazing syrniki, and nobody said me a thing about my coffee.

Don’t wanna sound offended here, but really, I don’t think mavammy will grow poor because of to go coffees (which I’m sure is a really rare situation at a whole), but may be because of such...

The only one reason I am writing this review — I hope that it will help owners to pay attention and be aware to improve the quality 🙏

In the beginning, it was a miracle. Wonderful breakfasts, stunning deserts. We ordered birthday cake and it was super-delicious.

But things are changing.

1. macaroons became extra sweet with strange chemical taste
2. almond cake with strange margarine-taste layer
3. brioche eggs for breakfast were also super strange

Guys, I understand that that it is hard to keep the quality at the same level, but I hope you will.

Chanced upon this cafe while staying at a nearby villa. We ordered the salmon bagel, apple waffle, cheese chicken sandwich, protein waffle and a chicken salad. We were absolutely blown away by the apple waffle because it wasn’t too sweet, and it really gives and ode to the apple pie dessert. Basically - giving yummy apple pie. Highlight was most definitely the frosting on top of the waffle as it was a mix of cream cheese and mascarpone.
