I attended Midas last night for their first anniversary event, and it was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I’ve ever had. Since I didn’t have a reservation, I started at the bar. When I noticed an empty table, I asked the staff if I could move there. They agreed but ended up giving it to someone who had just arrived. This happened not once but twice, despite me asking multiple employees about other available tables. Eventually, I insisted on getting a table, saying I’d pay the minimum spend. They finally moved me to a less desirable spot. After deciding to open a Hendrick’s bottle, I requested to move to a table at the front. Yet again, they claimed it was “reserved.” Strangely enough, that table stayed empty the entire night, even as I was leaving. What really bothers me is the underlying vibe of classism. It felt like, because we were just two women, the staff assumed we couldn’t afford the table, even though money wasn’t the issue—I just wanted the table. The unnecessary complications and hesitance from the staff to accommodate my requests left a bad taste in my mouth. The drinks and ambiance can’t make up for service that lacks respect and professionalism. Disappointing and unacceptable for a place that prides itself on being high-end.

I’m so glad that while I’m visiting Bali I found out that Midaz has jazz nights every Friday! I love live music in general, and jazz is my favorite genre to watch live. Whenever I travel to a new city I like to check out a local jazz club. I had a jazz experience at Midas on par with, and in many cases exceeding, my experiences at classy jazz clubs in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Lisbon and Tokyo. Evony Arty is the singer and bandleader for Midaz jazz nights, and she’s amazing!!! She was a semi-finalist on Indonesia’s biggest TV talent show! The pianist, drummer and bassist were all very talented as well! The food, atmosphere and service were all also phenomenal. The prices are definitely on the expensive side for Bali, but still cheap compared to American, European or Japanese jazz clubs of similar quality. Highly recommend and I’ll be back for more!

Loved this place! I wasn’t expecting the entertainment to be so amazing. The music was lovely and towards the end of the night we got to choose our own song choices and have a little sing along! I got a prawn spaghetti dish (I can’t remember the name of it) but it was divine! The portion was a little small for my appetite so ended up ordering another plate, it was that yummy! I asked for extra spice in my one which they were happy to do. I am also a big cheesy garlic bread lover, and although they didn’t have it on the menu the waiter on the night requested it from the chef who made it for me which was so kind! And goes to show how accommodating they are. If you’re not into the clubbing vibes but love some music and good food then I’d definitely recommend!

If you’re looking for a place to ruin the evening with your family, congratulations—you’ve found it. From start to finish, this restaurant managed to turn a simple dinner into a complete nightmare, thanks to their shockingly disorganized staff and clueless management. We ordered two dishes each and specially asked for appetizers to come out first, followed by the mains. A simple request, but apparently far too complicated for this team to handle. Two salads arrived quickly enough, giving us a false sense of hope. That hope faded as we sat there waiting for the third salad, which didn’t show up. After 20 minutes, we asked the staff about it. The supervisor—who looked like he wasn’t too thrilled to be there—assured us he’d check. What he actually did was go to the waiter station near us and place the order right then. Yes, it had never been made in the first place. While waiting for this elusive salad, the pizza of my son suddenly appeared at the table. This was the main course he had specifically asked to be served after the starters. When he pointed this out, the waiter seemed completely confused and kept trying to leave it on the table. What was he supposed to do, eat it cold while our friend was still waiting for appetizers? Finally, after yet another 20 minutes, the third salad arrived. But—surprise!—it was missing the shrimp. At this point, we’d had enough and asked for the manager. A man eventually came over, looking bored out of his mind. He didn’t apologize, didn’t acknowledge the disaster unfolding in his restaurant, and instead gave us two options: either they bring out all the remaining food or pack it to go. That’s it. No accountability, no attempt to fix anything. By now, we were fed up. We agreed to pay for what had already been brought to the table. Huge mistake. After that, the staff completely ignored us, and it took 20 more minutes just to get the check. To top it all off, they tried to charge us for the shrimp-less salad. Frustrated and hungry, we left and took a taxi to another restaurant nearby, where we finally got some decent food and service. If this place doesn’t replace its management soon, it won’t be long before it’s just an empty shell with nice decor. Do yourself a favor and avoid this...

What an unforgettable evening—though definitely not in a good way. This restaurant showed us that no matter how much you invest in design, it all means nothing with service this terrible.

We ordered two dishes each and asked for appetizers to be served first, followed by the main courses. Things started fine, with two salads arriving quickly. But then the waiting began. Ten minutes turned into twenty, and still no third salad. When we asked, the supervisor said he’d check with the kitchen. By “check,” he meant placing the order just then, right in front of us.

While we were waiting, my pizza showed up—the main course I specifically asked to come after the appetizers. I told the waiter I didn’t want it sitting there getting cold, but he seemed confused, as if expecting me to enjoy it while still waiting for our starter.

After another 20 minutes, the third salad finally arrived—but without the shrimp. Of course, the kitchen had forgotten them. We asked for the manager, and a man showed up without introducing himself. He stood there with a blank expression, clearly having no idea how to handle the situation. Worse, the restaurant made no effort to apologize or acknowledge their terrible service.

We agreed to pay for what had already been served—big mistake. After that, the staff completely lost interest in us. It took another 20 minutes to get the bill, which, unsurprisingly, included the shrimp-less salad. At that moment, I regretted not just walking out.

This restaurant could be amazing, but the management and service ruin it completely. They’ve clearly spent a fortune on decor, but without fixing the team, it won’t take long for the place...

I dined here last week and really liked the restaurant’s ambiance. However, I was disappointed with the food. For the price and location, I found the menu lacking in execution and overall value. I wouldn't recommend this place for a meal out.

I started with the Burrata and Beetroot Salad. The burrata had a nice texture, but it needed a finishing salt to enhance the flavor. The beetroot salad was overwhelmed by the mascarpone cheese, and both dishes had the same garnish, making them taste similar.

For the main course, I ordered: Gnocchi Sirloin Steak Yakitori Chicken Porchetta

The gnocchi was too mushy, and the creamy mushroom sauce made it feel like baby food. The sauce had good flavor, though.

The Sirloin Steak was disappointing. I ordered it medium-rare, but it arrived mostly raw, with uneven cooking and a lot of sinew. The peppercorn sauce was good, and it came with fries and a decent salad.

The Wood Fire Jidori Chicken didn’t live up to its name, didn’t taste chargrilled.. The presentation was unappealing, with deep-fried breaded onions covering the chicken. The chicken was overcooked making it dry. High Quality Ingredients but Poor execution.

The Porchetta was also a letdown. The skin wasn’t crispy it was rubbery, and the meat was a bit dry. However, the rice and mushroom side were tasty.

Overall, I wouldn’t return or...
