Jemme Restaurant, Seminyak — Authentic Western & Indonesian Comfort Food — Restaurant in Bali

Disappointed. I think the only place to start is at the beginning, I have been coming to this restaurant for many years. Back in the day, it's reputation and success was built on great food and very affordable prices. Fast forward to 2025...... I say that because last year it was still great food and very affordable. Whereas now everything has changed. I noticed on one of the other posts that an explanation for somebody being dissatisfied at the shrinkflation was that customer feedback told them that people wanted less food at more expensive prices.....well I call bulls* on that! There is nobody on this planet would ask a company to charge them 60% more and give them less food, basically there gaslighting you- if they expect you to believe that customers asked for this ....let's be realistic!!! Where I come from, we call this letting the tail wag, the dog and they are forgetting where their success came from. I visited for my 60th birthday, expecting a roast beef platter for 2 person's. Instead, we were told this is no longer available, so instead of paying 425000 Indonesian rupees to feed us both it turned into just under a million Indonesian rupees for one lamb, 1 beef, 2 bottles of beer and some water. Ouch!!!! Thats £43.00! $90 Aus The Lamb was fatty, to be honest, I should have sent it back, but I didnt want to make a scene. The lamb was basically a child's portion. The roast beef was delicious to be fair but still a very small portion. Gone are the days of them giving you a great feed, at great money with great food. The place was empty. Make up your own mind- in my opinion there's plenty of other options at half that in and around Semniak. I think the days are gone where this is the most prestigious place to eat a Sunday roast, at the best price, very sad really........ be warned. Remember this is Bali, not Times Square, Knightsbridge, or Sydney Harbour! We travel the world extensively, so this is not a moan about the money....believe me, this is about getting value for money, for your hard...

This place was brilliant I've been here in bali for a while and heard great things but never stepped in here but was amazed when I did. The roast they have on offer is second to none here in bali. First time I've had proper Yorkshire pudding and was amazed. They have a brilliant selection of different entrees and mains for dinner that are very impressive also and well worth a return visit. I take my proverbial hat off to the owners and management of the well managed establishment as it's a bit of a rare and refined find hiding in plain sight on petitenget. A little bit more costly than most places but we'll worth the treat if your looking for something a bit special. Side note I had to try and see how the gojeked version of the meal delivered and was pleasantly surprised as the kitchen crew have actually found a very simple but effective way of sending their product out, which sadly isn't the practice of a lot of places especially considering that certain foods have different side effects of different containers. The simple thing of placing crisp potatoes in cardboard rather than steel or plastic containers just goes to show the level of detail that management has thought about transportation issues. It may not sound like much but these things are incredibly overlooked a lot these days. You can tell a lot about how an establishment cares for their products with simple details like this. They have the best roast around! They also offer turkey on special occasion like Christmas or thanksgiving, portion is always generous and the side dishes are always lovely. On Christmas they have a nice surprise for you when you're dining

Had the Roasted Chestnut with Portobello to start, great taste and the Turkey & Pumpkin Soup was delicious too.

The Roast main turkey was really well cooked and tender, and the gravy goes really well with the Turkey, i also enjoy the cranberry sauce as it adds a nice sweetness to the meat.

The Christmas Pudding for dessert was really good, the caramel was really sweet with almost no bitterness!

Price was worth the portion and quality

They have parking in front of the restaurant, staff was really friendly and best of all, its fully AC'd
