To anyone who is considering visiting this, I advise you to look elsewhere. My experience here revealed horrible work ethic that can not be excused. My group made a grab pick up order at 9.45am before leaving the villa. Half of us were going to order in and chill at the cafe and the other half were going to pick up the order, rush back to the villa to check out and head to the airport for our return flight. Arrived at the cafe and informed the staff that we are waiting for grab pick up order. The other half got seated. Female had a bad attitude since the start, spoke with a condescending tone and facial expression but we did not flag it out to the manager as we felt it was a small matter. We waited till 10.18 am when the grab app notified us that our order was ready. We asked the staff if our order was ready. The staff spoke amongst themselves in local behasa, sounded like our question caused a commotion. They asked us to wait. And asked us to swipe on the app that we had collected our order. That was a huge red flag. We said we will only swipe when we receive the food. While we waited, the other half of our group finished eating. We had arrived at the same time and their food had been prepared, served, and eaten, while we waited past our order completion status. At around 10.30am, we spoke to the manager. It had been 45 mins since ordering. We would have received the delivery in the villa by now if we had ordered delivery. It was not making sense. It looked like they only started working on our order when we showed that we had been informed about the order completion status from Grab. This also makes the action of the staff asking us to swipe on “order collected” on the grab app even worse. What possible good reason with a clear conscience can there be to have asked us to do that if the order was not even collected, not even completed, had not even started? When speaking to the manager, the female staff came to explain the situation to him in local behasa. Her tone was very different from when she spoke to us, she was very sweet when speaking to him. The manager told us to wait for 5 more minutes. It was about 10mins of waiting. During all of this waiting, the staff even tried to push the blame back on us, saying that we did not inform them that we were here to pick up a grab order. Firstly, it was one of the first things we said, they even asked us to sit while we wait. Secondly, establishments are supposed to prepare the food to be ready by the time of pick up, not then the recipient arrives at the establishment. More red flags. This experience was absolutely disgusting. The staff here have proven themselves to have rotten character at multiple contact points of our time here. Read moreThis place is a really cute café with a nice vibe. and prices are ok for Bali. The staff are all super friendly too, but unfortunately, the service is terrible. There were four of us and two of our drinks took almost an hour to arrive even though we followed up three times. We're pretty sure that the Bar just kept on forgetting to make them because they were not alcoholic. Everyone was already done with their food and drinks and our drinks still had not arrived. After waiting all that time, we just decided to get some food so I ordered a burger with no cheese because I am lactose intolerant. The waiter came back later and asked is I was allergic to cheese because they accidentally made it with cheese. so basically, they made my order incorrectly, and if it wasn't going to physically hurt me with allergies, they were just going to make me take it (otherwise, why would they ask?) I hate wasting food, so I just accepted it but they should have made a new burger since it was their mistake. I can't believe a place would tell a customer they made a wrong order and then just still offer it to the customer instead of immediately just making a correct order instead when they know they made the original order incorrectly. We ended up staying for hours because the service was so slow despite there not being many people. And this is my third visit and I really hoped things would change for the better but I had basically the same experience. The live music was amazing, but it was just too too LOUD. my group could not even have a Decent conversation because we couldn’t hear each other. It’s such an easy fix but if you’re going here with a group think twice about going. If you’re going alone then yeah. I guess the super loud music won’t matter.
I would have loved to order more food, but everything I wanted they were out of it. Just like the last two times I visited. I tried to even order dessert and they had nothing good left. So it was very disappointing.
Suggestion would be to take things off the menu if it’s never in stock. Or maybe put a sign out front that says, “we’re out of a lot things”.
I ordered a very simple brownie and ice cream and it took about 20 minutes to arrive. I can’t imagine if I actually ordered a real meal.
The service wasn’t attentive, we had to request for our table to be cleaned and ask for menus.
