Uma lawas warung — Restaurant in Bali

Incredible and l would honestly give it more stars if possible. An amazing happy welcome from the young lady Anti. So lovely A Welcome drink that was so refreshing after a hot ride from Amed = really nice touch. Very clean and presentable restaurant in a beautiful location. The restaurant was easy to find as it’s on the side of the road though doesn’t feel like it. Nice and breezy place to rest and soak up the natural settings. The Uma Sunset mocktail was incredible, cool, refreshing and really hit the spot. I chose to sit on the bench style seating which they have added a really nice touch with the sound of running water which doesn’t sound like much though it instantly calms the scene and makes you feel cooler.

The menu is very well thought out & brilliantly described for those that aren’t familiar with Balinese cuisine. The crispy duck Uma Lawas was a fantastic choice & was a tasteful collection of flavours that were creatively put together. Very generous portion of duck and all the flavours come together so well. So fresh and so delicious

The ambience of the restaurant is so peaceful and with the ducks playing and feeding in the distance was so nice to watch.

Overall lm going to give this restaurant 10/10. Thank you again to Anti & chef for a fantastic lunch and culinary experience...

Disappointing Tom Yum Goong Experience at Uma Lawas, Ubud

I recently dined at Uma Lawas in Ubud and, unfortunately, my experience with the Tom Yum left much to be desired. The portion size was surprisingly small (just 3 small shrimps), especially considering the relatively high price.

The Tom Yam lacked the robust flavors and generous ingredients that I expected. Given the price point, I was disappointed with the value for money. I believe a more substantial portion or a reconsideration of pricing would greatly improve the overall dining experience.

Despite this setback, I appreciate the ambiance and service at Uma Lawas. I hope the feedback helps in enhancing the Tom Yam offering, making it more satisfying for patrons...

If you are in Ubud, don’t miss a chance to visit this amazing place!! We were staying at a hotel nearby for 8 nights, and every day had a meal at Uma Lawas. The staff and the owner are super friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious and the view from the restaurant is just stunning! Everything on the menu was incredibly tasty, a welcome drink and chips every time we visited was also a very pleasant touch. We also did a cooking class, and it was such a great experience! The staff kindly let us choose what we would like to make and helped us in the process. Can’t wait to cook these delicious meals at home!
