ARE YOU LOOKING FOR THE HONEYMOON OF YOUR DREAMS?

THEN STOP SCROLLING!

Congratulations, you've found your destination!

My wife & I searched 70 properties all over Bali. We dove DEEP. As you've found by now, the options are expansive. Well the hard part is over! Sanna Ubud is undoubtedly & unequivocally your new home.

Sanna has it all: ambiance, character, energy, spirit, dedicated staff, views, walkability, cleanliness, amenities, spa (a dramatic understatement), world-class gourmet revolving menus, dinners with cultural shows & music, room service, bidets, shuttles, concierge for activities & excursions throughout all of Bali, points of contact with vendors for all activities within Bali, infinity pools with built in waterfalls, mini fridge, hair dryers, robes, slippers, rain-fall style shower, outdoor stone slab baths in your villa, outdoor patio, CRISP AC, safes, bars, walking paths, buggies to take you around the property, a welcoming ceremony, English-fluent staff to cater to your every whim, and chiefly: the most friendly, loving, caring, generous, selfless, enthusiastic & professional staff.

You need not make our mistake and attempt to plan everything before you arrive. Your new family at Sanna handles it all.

A piece of our souls shall reside here forever.

You cannot choose better.

(^^That is all the space Expedia allowed for a review, and it is far from enough)

Sakar, Dahn, Dian, Eka, Pande, Mariati, Wulan, Yupik, Jodi, Edy, Burlian, and many more staff made our honeymoon one for the record books. From the second the taxi drops you off, you are stripped of your luggage, ushered into the luxurious lobby like royalty, given a cocktail, and invited to rest. Key-in-hand, they guide you down a winding staircase into a temple-like secondary lobby with in-ground water features layering the perimeter i.e. you are literally walking on stones "floating" in the water.

At a fountain beneath the stairs, they grace you with welcome-bracelets and perform a brief ceremony to cleanse your energies and set your intentions for the trip of a life time.

Then, you are carted to your new paradise. Your villa is its own oasis. Upon entry to the bespoke wooden doors of your new villa, you see an outdoor patio complete with lounge furniture, a fan, bamboo retractable shades, a mini fridge, coffee maker, table, and yes... your own PRIVATE INFINITY POOL. So cool. Behind your sliding glass doors sits a beautifully HUGE bed with levels of comfort unparalleled to any other vacation we have been on.

The closets boast an in-room safe and kimono robes. The bathroom is perfectly modern with decadent gold trimmed chandeliers, sinks, and open faced king-sized rainfall style shower. Plus... a bidet for your tush.

At every corner of this expansive property, you will meet a member of the world-class staff who learns your name, your drink preferences, your story, and subtly becomes one of your best friends. They are welcome in our home whenever they should travel to the United States, and we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we have a home at Sanna Ubud whenever we please. We will be back a million times. Hell, we may just retire in Villa 813. We are already yearning for more. Our souls are happy, our energies cleansed, our mindsets strengthened, and with infinite memories to tide us over until next time.

Lastly, the concierge service of Sanna is stupendous. Literally anything you want to do, "we have a friend for that." Snorkling, shopping in Ubud, massages, temple/city/rice terrace/island/city/monkey village tours, morning yoga, healing ceremonies, hot air ballooning, ATV'ing, cultural dinners, cooking classes. We did it all AND WE DID NOT PLAN A SINGLE ACTIVITY. They did it all for us and at insanely good prices.

To the readers of this review, if you're considering Bali, you are only robbing yourself of pure magic if you choose anywhere other than Sanna Ubud. Do yourself a favor... book it now... and for your entire trip. Do not stress lodging in other parts of Bali. Sanna is it. You cannot possibly regret...

I recently did a one night stay at Sanna as a solo traveller. The resort has been on my list for a while, but after staying there I don’t think the experience is good value for money.

Positives: -The most extensive breakfast menu I’ve seen in Bali, or possibly anywhere I’ve stayed. Tons of options to choose from. -Breakfast quality was good too, and presentation was lovely. -Service was nice. -Ambiance was largely calm and peaceful, compared to other 5 star resorts in Bali which have pivoted into family resorts. Most guests seemed to be honeymooners. It was quiet and relaxing and there were no kids splashing in the pool / running around the pool area (this will no doubt sound harsh to some, but if you’ve travelled Bali in recent years and seen the difference between the ambiance resorts / beach clubs advertise on social media and what the reality is when you get there, you’ll understand!). I could’ve just gotten lucky though.

Negatives: -Lack of pool seating: 4 cabanas and 2 sets of sunbeds for a resort of 31 units is a bit shocking. Like another reviewer said, the pool is quite cold in the afternoon (no direct sunlight) so it’s best to use in the morning, which appears to be peak hours. Unfortunately for myself and other guests, we didn’t have anywhere to sit or leave our things. I saw some guests come to the pool then turn around and leave. Finally, I was a bit shocked that one couple was even using a cabana PLUS two sunbeds — talk about inconsiderate! Others “claimed” cabanas and left them sitting empty for hours. Again, extremely rude when there’s only enough pool seating (6 spots) for 20% of guests (31 units). While there are 4 partially submerged plastic sun loungers on the other side of the pool, they are only accessible by crossing the entire pool (no steps from that side of the pool to access them). I wanted to sit somewhere, so I walked over through the pool holding my book and my cellphone in the air… I’ve noticed this lack of pool seating issue is common with other Pramana properties I’ve been to (e.g. Kayon Resort and Kayon Jungle Resort). Which is too bad, as they advertise their main pools on social media as the a big draw. -There was also no staff member down at the main pool, so it was unclear if an empty cabana with flip flops next to it was claimed, for example, or if it was possible to order food & drinks to the pool. -Like another reviewer (actually I think I was with them in the wine bar at the same time), my room wasn’t ready until 2:30pm, meaning I spent a lot of time in the lounge just waiting. -The room itself is already looking quite dated. Also, it was not fully clean when I checked in. The brick wall is already crumbling, despite the resort only being open for 1-2(?) years. -There are no full-length mirrors in the rooms. -The bath towels are small. -Villa pool was dirty, so I didn’t use it. -Afternoon tea was a bit smaller than other 5 star resorts and it would’ve been nice to have some savoury options, as another reviewer mentioned. -Dinner room service I ordered was good, though it was cold when it arrived to my villa, despite the villa being next to the restaurant. Also, the glass of wine I ordered with dinner arrived at my villa 10 mins after the food.

Overall, an alright stay, but not worth what they are currently charging. I wouldn’t be back at these prices unless improvements to the rooms are made and pool...

Luxury Meets Authenticity and Warmth Hospitality

My wife and I were looking for a wonderful place to celebrate our honeymoon and her milestone birthday. We were looking for something special, and oh boy did we find it in the heart of Ubud’s beautiful jungles. Sanna Ubud A Pramana Experience is more than just a luxury resort—it’s a hidden sanctuary where nature, comfort, amazing food, and Balinese hospitality come together in perfect harmony.

From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from Jaka, Yudi, and the wonderful ladies set the tone for our unforgettable stay. Their kindness, attentiveness, and genuine smiles made us feel like honored guests in a private paradise.

Our villa was an absolute dream—spacious, elegantly designed, and seamlessly blending traditional Balinese aesthetics with modern luxury. The private infinity pool overlooking the jungle canopy was the perfect place to unwind, with nothing but the sounds of nature surrounding us. Waking up to misty mornings and birdsong while sipping coffee on our terrace felt like something out of a fairytale.

Dining at the resort was equally spectacular. The ladies at the restaurant ensured we had a flawless experience, from their thoughtful recommendations to their impeccable service. Every dish was a masterpiece. Breakfast was a particular highlight, offering a delightful spread of fresh tropical fruits, homemade pastries, and expertly prepared local delicacies.

After breakfast the spa was just beautiful walk down into Valley from our room, ultimate relaxation highly recommend couples massage. By the riverbanks the spa is cruelly magical, open-air treatment couple’s rooms . You lie back, you can soak in the peaceful sounds of the trees swaying around you, all while enjoying a deeply relaxing massage that leaves you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. It was truly an otherworldly experience that left us feeling completely refreshed.

The team at Sanna Ubud went above and beyond at every moment. Whether it was Wawan’s attention to detail, Edy’s warmth, Jaka’s friendly service, Wulan’s readiness to help or Yudi’s willingness to accommodate any request, we felt incredibly well taken care of. The housekeeping staff are just incredible; we never saw them. However, my wife would say every 6 hours she had a new room. She took a picture of every beautiful message they would leave for us just start our day and to end our day.

Sanna Ubud is not just a hotel; it’s an experience. A place where luxury meets authenticity, where the warmth of the people is just as memorable as the beauty of the surroundings. We left with full hearts and unforgettable memories, already counting down the days until we can return to this...

I wouldn’t be back at these prices unless improvements to the rooms are made and pool seating is added.

Luxury Meets Authenticity and Warmth Hospitality My wife and I were looking for a wonderful place to celebrate our honeymoon and her milestone birthday. We left with full hearts and unforgettable memories, already counting down the days until we can return to this magical retreat.
