Warung Ikan Bakar Pak Nyoman — Restaurant in Bali

We have not been here for a number of years as the prices had gotten expensive due to many westerners going here. Having been out shopping in the neighbourhood and feeling a bit hungry we decided to call in.

The prices were not readily available on the menu which is a bit of a concern as they could potentially charge you any amount.

We tend to eat a lot of chicken so we order more than what would probably be a normal meal. Having said that we tend to skip the rice or just share some. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was sweet and spicy as per the menu. The additional sambal is great if you like more of a kick.

As well as the chicken we also ordered a serve of chips (kentang goreng), the serve is small but they were hot and fresh. The only thing missing was chicken salt.

What a shame the fried duck is actually nice. The price however is like a yo-yo. One day it will be 50k including fried duck, rice and plecing the next day the lady told me 50k only duck. They aren't honest with the pricing, hence not willing to write the prices on the menu. They change the prices according to who you are, this is also includes Indonesia non Balinese not just foreigners. I have just realized it when reading other people's review. The place is rather dark and dirty. The service from the staff are horrible and rude. No smile, 7no thank you, and un apologetic when I asked about the price differ.. Fair to say I won't be eating here again. Advice to those who read this. Beware with the pricing, and support honest business owner not...
