Scako Coffee — Restaurant in Balikpapan

I visited this place for the first time on Sunday, October 6, without any specific plans. I was just looking for a place to have lunch because my usual spot had a full parking lot. I ended up here and decided to try the black pepper rice bowl, cappuccino, and colenak.

The food quality was great and very satisfying. The black pepper rice bowl was just perfect for my taste, and the cappuccino had a strong, well-balanced flavor. The colenak as a dessert was a nice sweet touch to complete the meal.

As for the service, I was very impressed. The staff were friendly and quick to provide recommendations. At first, I found it difficult to read the menu because the dark background made the text a bit hard to see, especially since the ambiance inside was quite dim. However, the waiter quickly offered suggestions, which made it easy for me to choose even without reading the menu. Their assistance made my dining experience much more comfortable.

That being said, there were a few things that could be improved. The air conditioning was too cold, which made the environment a little uncomfortable. Additionally, as I mentioned, the lighting inside was rather dim, which might have been intended to create a cozy atmosphere, but I personally found it a bit too dark.

Outside of that, the parking area was spacious and convenient, and the restroom was clean, which I consider an important factor when judging a restaurant’s overall quality. However, I did notice that the trash bin was full and overflowing, which should be taken care of promptly to keep the area tidy and maintain the overall cleanliness.

All in all, I had a great experience here. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was comfortable (despite being a bit too cold and dark). I would definitely recommend this place to my friends, and I’ll most likely be back in the future. It’s a place...
