Moorden Coffee — Restaurant in Banda Aceh

This is my first time visiting here, and to my surprise, this is the first café in Aceh that offers such excellent service and delicious meals at an affordable price. I have never encountered a café where the staff is so efficient, attentive, and kind. The waitstaff here are incredibly quick and courteous, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

I decided to try the Sanger Moorden and Bangladesh noodles. Initially, I didn't expect much, assuming that the food would taste similar to other coffee shops I have visited. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the distinct and delightful flavors this café offers. The Bangladesh noodles stood out with a unique crab flavor that I haven't found in other restaurants, making the dish truly exceptional. And the Sanger Moorden—wow! I would return just to have it again. This coffee is significantly better than any other coffee I've had elsewhere.

A special shoutout to the staff for providing the best service I’ve ever experienced. An incident occurred where I accidentally broke a glass. I called a staff member to clean it up and requested to add the cost to my bill. However, he smiled and assured me it was okay, then promptly cleaned it up without any fuss. His gracious response made me feel even more welcomed and appreciated as a customer.

I felt a bit guilty about the broken glass and hope the owner recognizes how deserving the staff are of a raise. Their dedication and exceptional service truly enhance the overall experience at this café. They go above and beyond to ensure that every customer leaves satisfied and eager to return. Kopi Nira

The best final drink before concluding my visit in Aceh.

Nira itself is a fruity-flavored sap taken from Aren (sugar palm) trees. The genius part is having both the nira and coffee chilled and served together.

For maximum enjoyment take a small sip of the coffee first before mixing it up with the Nira underneath. Then after, stir both of them well and enjoy the refreshing effect of never-before coffee flavor.

Not a perfect coffee house just yet, but its ew kind of mixed coffee-roomie is a must try. The only cafe that in town serves the kind.
