They serve you various Javanese foods such as Mie Goreng Jowo (Javanese style fried noodle), Mie Godhog Jowo (Javanese style boiled noodle), Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Nasi Mawut (scrambled fried rice), and the list goes on. My favourite is the Mie Goreng Jowo with fried sunny side-up egg and sweet hot tea. I've also tried their Wedang Ronde (a hot ginger drink with sweet potato balls). They all taste very good and authentic.
The restaurant itself has a very unique concept. They really resemble the ambience of Yogyakarta with all Javanese decors and the traditional Javanese songs played almost every time. The waiter even use the Basa Jawa Krama (Javanese polite language) in helping us to make the order, but worry not, you can always use Bahasa Indonesia too.
The price is affordable and you can only pay them in...
Read moreParking : Plenty of parking near by, but in the weekend it is quite full. You may want to come early.
Decoration : very javanese.
Food & Drinks : my recommendation will be bakmi godhok (noodle with soup), very tasty, you may want to add some chilli sauce if you like spicy. Nasi goreng Jogja (fried rice) is a must try too. The rice is just right, not too soft or too hard. Dont forget to mention level of spiceness.
Karak / legendar is a good side dish. You can eat it together with your noodle. It is a type of rice cracker.
For dessert, dont forget to order their fried banana. Very tasty. Add some sugar for more flavour.
Portion is quite small, for me who is a big eater, I need to order two portion.
Price : very cheap and affordable for that kind of quality.
Overall : will come back again to eat...
Read moreAuthentic jogja noodle place, seeves bakmi, bihun, etc with 3 different style of serving (godhok, goreng, nyemek). Place has a vintage classic indo-dutch ambient to it, and the servants have a javanese accent (and occasionally uses javanese) even though the place is obviously in the middle of Bandung. Food was nice and comforting, portion is okay-ish, price for meals around Rp20-30k. Parking for cars are on the side of the road. One flaw i think of the place is the fact that they have an angklung ornament, which sometimes is played by toddlers which can be...
