Chingu Cafe — Restaurant in Bandung City

A Korean cafe concept which good for you who likes to take photos and wants to feel the taste of Korean food. Below for the honest reviews from me,

The place:

The parking space is quiet for cars but spacious for motorcycles (5-6 cars & 10++ motorcycles in the cafe area, 1-3 cars in front of the cafe).

They serve the washbasin and hand sanitizer in the entrance door and must check the temperature before entering it.

Available some chairs for the waiting lists' customer if the place is full.

It has 2 floors and 2 spaces, on the first floor they have indoor space for Korean bbq, and behind it is the semi-outdoor space. The second floor is for prayer room and a little outdoor space there (i forgot this part)

Many spots for taking pictures that create Korean ambiance especially for Kpop fans.

You can rent the Korea traditional dress (hanbok) there

The food and beverages are worth to try and it's affordable for the price.

The order and payment system is online-based however for the first time I was confused about how to use it but it's okay just let call the waiter/waitress there to help you out.

I went there 1 and half hours before the fasting time ends up but the time when we order until the food come to us taking more time, I don't know why but I think they prepare for many people simultaneously.

Temen nyaranin kesini mulu, ahirnya ada kesempatan nyoba setelah lebaran.

Lokasinya tuh ada di sekitaran kampus unisba unpas. Patokannya dari mol terbesar di balubur kita lurus doang ke arah unpas. Nanti restonya ada di sebelah kiri, bentuknya kayak rumah gitu. Untungnya ada plangnya jadi gak susah banget nemuinnya.

Begitu sampe dalem kita bisa liat design yang eye catching bangged. Di sebelah kiri ada ruang makan yang bentuknya kek dalem train to busan. Eh gak deng serem itu mah. Yang ini keren tapi tempatnya terbatas jadi temen temen mesti ngajak gelut yg lagi makan aja gapapa.

Di bagian tengah ada ruang makan yang ada sedotan asepnya gitu. Keknya ini husus yang mesen grill.

Di bagian belakang ada ruang makan terbuka dan disini tuh designnya lebih heboh lagii. Klo fans korean sejati masuk ke sini mungkin lansung histeris aink maunk gitu saking kerennya.

Kali ini kita pesen : Korean BBQ set 79k Ttedtabokin lupa Kimbap sama lupa jg Sop rumput laut 10k

Korean BBQ set yg 2-3 person:

Ini BB nya bukan BaBi ya maksudnya tapi babekyuh, kali ada yg belon tau. Di dalam set ini isinya ada slice beef, sayur selada, beberapa dipping sauce, ada kek pasta gochujang gitu ama sambel. Slice beef nya bisa dibilang cukup buat 1 orang sih walopun judulnya 3 wkwkwk.

Slice beef nya bukan tipikal yang banyak lemak gitu jadi buat tmen2 body goal cocok kali ini mah ya. Oia slice beef nya kita bisa pilih ada 3 pilihan : original, spicy ama yang tanpa marinasi polosan aja gituh.

Seperti biasa slice beef nya kita grill semi goreng dikasi minyak dikit terus celup2 dah. Kebetulan kemaren pilih yang original, manis rasanya tuh. Org korsel suka manis kali ya tapi klo org korut suka asin sotoy yg ini mah wkwkwk.

Saus dippingnya ada yang rasanya wijen banget (yang warnanya kek selei kacang) ama yang asin sedikit kecut). Kemarin sih ahirnya lebih milih celupin ke kuah ttebokin wkwkwk. Maklum lidah kampoeng. Oia ada sambel juga tapi rasanya cenderung manis aga rasa bawang putih gitu

Ttebokin

Wah ini dari bentuknya aja udah unik. Oia disini kita bisa milih yang isinya campuran ato yang isinya cuman rice cake doang. Tapi kemaren sih pilih yang campuran ganda.

Pas di poto cukup syantik yaa. Isiannya ada telor rebus 1/4, rice cake nya, bakso ikan, bombay, potongan wortel, potongan kol, ama ada kek irisan frozen food olahan ikan gitu.

Pertama pas sruput kuahnya, gak bisa lansung sruput soalnya aga kentel gaes wkwk. Ini tipikal ttebokin yang rasanya cenderung manis. Dan di ujung kita bisa rasain kayak pasta gochujang gitu. Kemarin pesen yang spicy etapi ternyata gak pedes2 amat. Karena suka ama makanan yang manis, uda pasti ini da best dah kuahnya. Dan kuahnya ini makin gurih enak pas d campur pasta gochujang di wadah kecil. Soalnya pastanya agak asin.

Untuk rice cake nya ya begitu lah ya sama aja. Bakso ikannya juga std aja kek makan frozen food. Yang unik ada potongan kol, kirain kimci ternyata bukan. Telor rebus nya berasa B aja, gak nanya juga kenapa cuman 1/4, tapi mungkin kalo dikasi telor utuh dikira menu somay kali ya wkwkkk.

Kimbap

Ini kimbap seperti kimbap laennya aja. Disini kimbapnya ditaburin wijen. Baru ngeh kenapa banyak wijen di menu korea ya?bisa bikin glowwing gitu kali ya. Isian kimbapnya ada sedikit daging cincang gitu, soalnya kalo bnyak dikira bacang, terus kek potongan telor dadar ama bonteng aka timun. Sayangnya ini kimbap bagian luas nasinya uda ada yang mengeras gaes. Jadi pas nelen gak berasa lagi di Seol

Sop rumput laut

Ini gak inget nama koreanya apaan wkwkwk. Tapi isinya sih rumput laut ya. Etapi tampilannya kayak sayur bayem pas dateng. Warna hijau gitu potongan rumput lautnya. Dan ada potongan bawang putih. Persis sayur bayem si emak sih tinggal dikasi jagung😂. Pas disruput beuh cocok dah, sop rumput laut ini ngimbangin makanan2 sebelomnya yang rata2 manis. Yg ini gurih dan sedikit fishy ya namanya rumput laut ye kan

Overall nih tempat bagus sih buat temen2 yang mau coba menu koreaan sambil popotoan. Menu ttebokinnya juaraaaaa, jadi pengen dateng lagii...

Probably one of the most famous korea-themed cafe in Bandung. Instagrammable, they said. But I was here to try the food. Actually they have quite a lot of chioces. From the most mainstream ‘korean street food’ such as tteokbokki odeng kimbap etc, to several types of soup and stew, they even have yukgaejang, my number one favorite.

Here’s what we ordered. Tteok kochi: skewered rice cake Rabokki: rice cake with red sauce plus noodle Jumeokbap: rice ball with tuna mayo and seaweed Yukgaejang: spicy soup with beef and vegetable The first three menus are close enough with the ones I had in Korea, I mean come on they’re so easy to make haha. The ‘yukgaejang’ on the other hand, was tasty. And hot! BUT didn’t taste like a yukgaejang, not even close. But tasty. Indonesian version of yukgaejang 😂

Overall I had a decent meal, I was super full because of all the carbs.

Anyway, come here if you like korea-thingy, you can take a lot of pics because there were so many instagrammable spots around the place. For example there’s a section of the cafe where it’s designed so that it feels like you’re sitting in a korean subway train. And many more. Also they play kpop songs. Of course.

But if you’re looking for authentic korean food, probably not here. The street food or snacks are...
