Javan Waroeng Steak & Pasta — Restaurant in Bandung City

Affordable steak. To be honest, there was nothing special about it. The queue was probably because of the competitive price of the dishes, but the taste was not worth the wait. We ordered Iced Passion Fruit Juice and Orange Juice, but they gave us glasses of water instead. The waiter said, "There is no ice. The ice vendor hasn't come yet."

Then after we were half way done eating, the waiter brought out iced beverages to the next table. So then, we asked again for our iced drink orders. It was such a great expectation (because we went here 3 times & it was either closed or everything sold out) that turned out to be an unsatisfying experience. It was one of those places that you went there just to experienced it once.

Small place, but been (around) here since 20 years ago. Open 4.30-10pm. And the menu never change. More than half of the menu I never could comprehend, but you could always ask the waiter. Very cheap for steaks, only 32-35K per portion. You can choose your carb between potato (wedges) or spaghetti. I had Esterhazy Rostelyos (a bit spicy hot) for 33K. Service was prompt. The portion was just right, the meat was, surprisingly, perfectly grilled and seasoned. It has decent thickness, tender and medium well, as steaks supposed to be. Still the best in low-price steaks in Bandung (although not as cheap as before due to the ever-rising beef prices).

Still with the same varied choices, but perhaps it would be better if the contents of each menu option are listed so that customers don't have to ask or memorise what a Stecchini Carlos, Esterhazy, Jager Schnitzel or Viena Gulyas is.

For newcomers, just to let you know that you can choose fried potato or spaghetti to accompany the steak in any of the menu.
