I got me a bowl of Soto Daging Campur along with iced orange juice and some side dish, namely fried tempeh and mixed vegetable fritters (that sounds fancy for tempe goreng and bakwan ngl lol).

As a soto enthusiast back in college days, it was kinda underwhelming. It tasted good but still lacked the "freshness". By that, I meant it needed more lime juice and some more salt (or even MSG, fuiyoh). I added two spoons of chilli sauce and a quick dash of soy sauce, only then it satisfied my palate sufficiently.

The iced orange was fine by me. But the fritters are especially wonderful for their price range. Obviously, one is never enough.

All in all, for just under 30k (hell, even under 20k), you can get yourself...

Ini masalah selera yah..tapi ga pake poto2 nih. Soto ayam. Buat anda yg mau rasa light pilihlah ini. Kuah bening, disajikan dengan bihun dan suwiran ayam, panas2 bikin makin selera pas hujan.

Soto daging. Kuahnya lebih gelap, dengan rasa lumayan medok daging, dan pastinya disajikan dengan potongan tipis kecil2 daging sapi yg empuk dan edible buat anak2 ngunyah, ada togenya kalo soto daging.

Tengkleng. Porsi banyak dan penuh, TAPI kami kecewa dengan bau prengus yg kuat banget. Berharap cuma di daging, tapi di kaldunya haduh parah. Sepertinya SSB harus bebenah racikan tengklengnya. Akhirnya kami minta bawa kebelakang tengklengnya (tetep masuk ke bill, dan ga pa2 yah) namanya udah dipesen harus tetep masuk bill dong, cuma lebih enak kalo kemakan ya.

Side dishnya... Cuma nyobain paru, perkedel, tempe mendoan, telur puyuh. Paru menurut paksu teksturnya ga konsisten. Empuk ngga, kriuk ngga, mau dibawa ke model yg mana nih? PERKEDEL rasa lada lumayan kuat, sy termasuk pencinta pedas jd cocok. Mendoannya tempenya langu, kayak buat tempe tumpang. Telur puyuh anak2 doyan.
