Along with the original Soto Kadipiro, Kadipiro II, and many Soto Kadipiro restaurants around Yogyakarta, the place has been writing long story about Kadipiro styled turmeric soup spanning from decades ago. While the original Soto Kadipiro restaurant doesn’t offer other than chicken turmeric soup (soto), the place offers both chicken and beef (plus tripe and intestines) soto. The soup tasted lighter and not too savory, and would be better breakfast option than the original one, IMO. Plenty of side dishes also available for customers to choose from, ranging from braised quail eggs skewer, braised tofu and tempeh, fried chicken, tripe etc. Prices are standard, not too different with other soto restaurants around. Service and staffs are okay, quite helpful and friendly. Cash and non-cash payments are accepted. Place is cozy enough despite its age, has easy access, parking space is also available though limited. Overall, it’s recommended.
