I rarely leave long reviews, but this experience was too disappointing not to share.
I planned a surprise celebration for my friend and chose Blue Fire Beach Club after hearing some recommendations. Since it involved special arrangements (reserved seats, balloons, cake, etc.), I booked 3 months in advance and coordinated everything with the staff who assited me in instagram. I was told the person in charge was someone named HEDREA?, and we even went through the entire flow of the surprise together.
On the actual day (yesterday), I thought we might be late for the reservation, so I texted their IG to update them. To my shock, they read my messages but did not reply. When I arrived, they told me my booking was not on the list. I had to show them the conversation as proof. Instead of apologizing properly, one of the staff just gave me a very dismissive attitude, saying, “It’s okay, we’ll still prepare the cake and surprise for you.”
We waited for a long time at our table, food and drinks were already served , but still no surprise. I asked another staff member (since there were so many, I couldn’t even tell who was in charge anymore), and he also said, “Don’t worry, we’ll arrange it for you.” We waited again, but still nothing came out.
Finally, I directly asked for the person in charge. She told me it wasn’t her who handled my booking. At this point, I was honestly shocked. So many staff around, yet nobody could take responsibility to deliver something we had planned months ahead?
To make it worse, the service tax ended up being MORE expensive than some of the food itself, yet the service we received was careless and completely unprofessional.
This was meant to be a memorable night for my friend on his birthday actual day itself, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment because of Blue Fire Beach Club’s POOR COMMUNICATION, LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY, and UNCOORDINATED STAFF.
⚠️ I strongly do not recommend this place if you’re planning something special. ⚠️
For management: I hope this review serves as a serious lesson. Please make sure your staff responsible for communication and booking replies properly, instead of ignoring customers or giving false assurance. Read moreVisited this place to celebrate my birthday and left feeling utterly disgusted. From the moment we arrived, it was obvious the place is hugely overrated. Massive crowds everywhere, all jostling for Instagram-worthy shots. It was difficult to take a decent photo without strangers in the background. The atmosphere was nothing like a relaxing beach club – more like a chaotic tourist trap.
The condition of the place was shocking. We sat near the pool, only to find the plastic chair back cracked and about to snap. Tables were dirty and old. The bean bags were stained, smelly, and clearly not cleaned for ages.
My kids wanted to change themselves for a swim, but after seeing the toilets, that idea was over. They reeked of sewage, and the smell of poo was overwhelming. The worst part? The pool water was filthy – murky, filled with black particles, tissues, straws, and even faeces. Absolutely revolting. I wouldn’t not advise anyone to swim in this poor water condition.
We decided to just get our complimentary drinks (from the entrance ticket) and leave. Staff were unfriendly, with zero smiles. When I booked, they mentioned there was live music – however there was none. While waiting, I watched a staff member clear a table using a fishing net to scoop trash, then pour cigarette ash through the net so it fell straight onto the pink sand. That said its all about their “hygiene standards.”
We decided it was enough! As we made our way to the exit, more tour groups streamed in – clearly this is a high-volume photo-op venue, not a genuine beach club.
The only redeeming thing was the beautiful sunset and sea breeze but even that isn’t worth the filth, smells, and crowds. Avoid if you value your health, your money, or your sanity.
To the management: For the sake of your guests’ well-being and the reputation of your establishment, please step up your maintenance and cleanliness practices...

However have to feedback as this ruined my night! We came at 12:30am, we sat at the outdoor beach club to have some snacks and drinks, we were asked by a few staff if we want to go in to the indoor club, which we then replied “ later we will”, however as we were about to go and enter the indoor club one server approached us with the bill and card terminal pos “need to make payment now” he came abruptly and did not ask us if we were going in to the indoor club, basically chasing us away. Thinking that he knew we were going in as we have mention to a few of their colleagues and that the club was closing, this he asked for payment, we made the payment.
Later we then realised he closed our tab and the club was not closing yet. When he came back with the receipt I then asked if we are going back to the indoor club will we be recharged the service fee again, he then replied with “ why you never say “, he literally came to us mid conversation and when he asked to made payment did not even have the courtesy to ask if we want to go in to the indoor club, like the other staff, we thought the club itself was closing already.
Literally. BF beach club management is this the staff you represent? the kind that chases your customers away and thus decreasing your sale?
I really wanted to leave after this but my friend’s first time at a batam beach club so we stayed.
I have included the pic of the server, if you come here just beware of the customer service provided by him as he will chase you out!!!! #badvibes
ADDING on, the rest of the staff was awesome so I will still give 2 stars! Very friendly & helpful.
One bad egg doesn’t ruin the entire batch, I would still recommend you to come...
