If you love coffee and really want to learn more or just to expand your knowledge, you should definitely come to this place. Or maybe you’re an architect/interior designer? This is also a good place for you.

Located in an industrial area, Pippo coffee roasters serve coffee. Not in the usual understanding of coffee, since they serve 3 different kinds of espresso beans for your espresso based drink for you to choose. This place is the first place I’ve gone to that serves Liberica and Excelsa for espresso. I tried a split of the Liberica, and it was such a good decision to make.

They designed the interior themselves and is actually located in front of an interior design/materials company. My architect friend had a blast there with all the different materials.

The baristas are also friendly and it’s part of their job to conversate with the customers about...

Okay, so here’s my honest take on Pippo Coffee Roastery. At first, I was a bit confused because the place is inside an industrial complex. But once I got in, I was pleasantly surprised—the vibe is totally slowbar, which is pretty rare in Batam. They say their Magic is different from other places, and it turns out it really is. The baristas and the owner are super chill and easy to talk to. If you’re into manual brews with a specific flavor profile, you can totally ask the baristas to whip up something special for you. They’ve also got a solid selection of beans, always updating so you can explore different Indonesian coffee flavors. All in all, I’d definitely come back. Looks like they’re setting up a space for hangouts too. Big thanks to the team for the...

THE. BEST. IN. THE. CITY. (IMHO)

Dropped by in the evening, so I didn’t get to try the full range — but what I did have was memorable.

Filter brewed on a Hario Switch, but the cup was far from what I expected — not overly extracted or heavy, just quietly expressive. Delicate florals, balanced sweetness, with a soft blueberry note carrying through. Restraint and confidence in equal measure.

What stood out just as much as the coffee was the service: warm, present, and genuinely generous. The barista answered all my (probably excessive) questions without a hint of condescension — just real curiosity and pride in the craft.

Small roaster, but you can tell they care deeply about what they’re doing — both in the cup and across...
