Looking for Warung Doyong 1? Don't confuse it with any other numbers – the real deal is Warung Doyong 1.

Although it may appear medium-sized, the place feels cramped due to the bustling crowd. Arriving promptly at 10 a.m., there was already a line of 5-10 people waiting to get in.

Seating involves a bit of strategy – you hover near a table that's nearly finished. While it might seem impolite, it's the norm here. But the reward? Indulging in their renowned Indonesian yellow spiced fried chicken.

We grabbed our food straight from the center table, filled with fried chicken, tofu, tempeh, and various Indonesian Sundanese delicacies. Then, we rushed to secure a table before someone else snagged it.

As for the taste? Simply divine. Jakarta hasn't seen fried chicken this delectable. The chicken is juicy, flavorful, with perfectly crispy skin. Paired with their fiery chili sambal and coconut fried crumbs, it's a solid 10/10.

Note: there is a juice booth in the corner of the restaurant. Here you can extinguish the hot chilli sambal with their super refreshing Mango Juice, Orange Juice, Strawberry Juice, Dragonfruit Juice and many other...

In this street, Pahlawan st, you will find several (three if Im not mistaken) doyong fried chicken resto. They are owned by different people but all of them are related, as they said. And to park here sometimes a bit tricky but you can always get assisted by local people there/parking officer.

I personally prefer warung doyong 1. Their chicken is very tasty, one is not enough, especially if you dip it into their sambal, the best! Beside the traditional fried chicken, you can also try their pepes (tofu, anchovies, salted fish peda) and varieties of cooked vegetables (possibly differ everyday). Also, I love their fresh fruit juice made by request (mango, strawberry, guava, soursop, orange, etc or you may combine it) for 20k. The juice was thick and refreshing.

This place closed at 2 pm, and the staff were friendly and fast. You may not be able to eat while hanging out because the dining area was not too big and a lot of people come and go. The rotation...

The sambal were tasty and the spicy level was medium if can’t tolerate with the spicy, you can add sweet soy sauce. For the bakwan jagung was delicious, this one of my favorite. You should order their orange juice. For order (information for newbie), you can take every food that you want and their staff will coming on your table to give you a card number for you bring to cashier after you finished your meal.
