Belva huis — Hotel in Bogor

Arriving in Surya Kencana busy street on Sunday at 8AM, there's not much food stalls or restaurant that have already opened. At first, we thought that Belva Huis is a cafe as it looks like that from the outside. When we entered this place to see the menu first and decided to have a breakfast here, we just knew that Belva Huis is a hotel.

The concept is vintage and simple with basic and soft color. The restaurant is located exactly beside the receptionist table before the alley of the hotel rooms. They provide variant of pastries, Asian and Westerns foods, cakes, along with coffee, tea, and the other beverages.

Here are what I tried :

Mie Ayam (IDR 28,500) A bowl of noodles with abundant toppings that consist of chicken, vegetables, and green onions. It is served with the clear broth (too oily 🙁) and the spicy sambal. The noodles look similar with the one in laksa with the yellow and straight shape. If you eat the noodles as it is, the taste won't be that "strong". If you like spicy and want more taste, add the sambal and mix well with the noodles.

Nice place, good ambiance. Feels like you are in your grandma's house, so old (vintage decoration), clean and tidy. It looks small from outside, but when you go inside, you'll find a wide and long space, restaurant at front and many rooms at the back. Yes, this is hotel also. Maybe it for backpacker travellers, because there's only a little space for parking and I think it's only fit for motorcycles, but in this road (Suryakencana) it is allowed to park your car at the side of the road. My first time here to break fasting with my friends and was so quite with no one else around at the restaurant. Only one couple at the second floor. Second floor is also hotel rooms and resto at the back, a little bit hidden area😉, but I can see some CCTVs there. Located in the center of Bogor the hotel's location is really strategic, near the chinatown district in Jl. Surya Kencana. There are many authentic & legendary culinary foods/ delicates you could find near the hotel.

I must say that this place don't look like a big hotel because limited parking area just fit 2 cars, but when i reach to the inside it's just a long way to the back. This hotel offers you another blowing mind experience comparing to another ordinary hotel.

First, the authentic and vintage design really outstanding in this hotel, there are many instagramable spot here such as the park, the pond, the hallway, the room, and the restaurant.
