I knew this place when my grandma move to Bantarjati Permai area. Grandma would buy bakso polos and she made me eat them with rice. That was almost my daily diet since she knew I rarely eat at home.
To be honest, Bakso Seseupan has no particular taste on their meatballs nor their broth. It's almost nothing special. But that is what I love. It is very basic, as if it tells you sometimes you longed for something special to happen but they actually pretty basic and you get just what you need. But they have this fried fatty which evoluted from time to time. In circa 1996-1999, they just fry tetelan, a very unhealthy part of the meat but tastiest. People crave for it and Bakso Seuseupan got very popular around the year 2007 when domestic tourism booming in Indonesia (seems like people would travel to nearest cities in weekly basis).
Now they have this less unhealthy part of the fatty meat, I don't know if they picked certain part but it taste weaker than the previous version.
But, it is okay to me. Since it becomes part of my childhood, I will forgive them...
Read moreMy Favorite! Wanting more and more their 'kulit goreng' (not sure what was the name) because that made this meatball has unique taste. The soup is hot and savory, meatball are really good (soft with real meat taste). My fav is bakso urat special. It come with decent portion. Plenty of seats since they moved to the new area not far from the original place (since old place were fully renovated). Price are decent, might feel pricey for some but it totally worthed. They also have various drinks. Quick response and nice staffs. Always love to come back!
Ps: I have tried another branch near gunung batu long time ago, and the taste was totally different. This branch offer the real authenthique taste...
