Gulai Itiak Lado Mudo Ngarai — Restaurant in Bukittinggi

The food taste is good.. I was ordering chicken menu and I love it. 5/5 for the taste.. the restaurant is quite small so if you'll plan to visit with family better be prepare to booked first. Beside lado mudo they also have "cincang sapi" which also taste good. But I dunno, they just serve 1 portion of cincang sapi for each table. The takeaway lado mudo is frozen and it's wrapped. I was bringing it on cabin bagage and no spill at all (about 12 hour outside freeze and it still taste the same).

But the service sorry to say, the waitress has no smile at all. Even when I'm asking for take away, she still focusing on something else.

They also receive card payment so don't worry if you don't bring along cash. But the price is cheap, approx 50K to 70K per person (depend on how many duck / chicken you ordered). The take away is paid per package (whole duck 150K /...

The "itiak lado mudo" is highly recommended. Very tasty! Hot and spicy in a good way!

It is different compare any other spicy food where you can only taste the spiciness and feel it burns your tongue.

I had cincang (pronounced: chin chang/ chan chang) curry also which was marvelous beef curry to pair with the duck or chicken.

I recommend to get itiak lado mudo and cancang.

But, what i DO NOT RECOMMEND is to get there after lunch hour, especially if you are not from this area.

In other words, GET THERE EARLY!!! Otherwise you'll get there...
