Noru Coffee — Restaurant in Bukittinggi

It was already late at night but we want to check out this place. It is a walking distance from the Mersi Hotel, about 200 meters. It has an outdoor and indoor seating area and we chose outdoor because the air was cool. We ordered one hot cappucino, one hot Americano and 2 Cafe Latte. The taste is fine but the drinks were not hot but cold. When we inquired, we were told that they use cold milk and it should be nice that way. They do not believe in heating up the milk. Eventhough the drinks were not what we expected, the staff and place is nice, quite ans comfortable. I feel that it is a hipster cafe and many young people are there drinking and smoking. It's not crowded around 3 p.m in Saturday, we got a nice seat in front area

We ordered : Japanese Iced Coffee : I ordered cos its tempting look in google picture, but there's no orange slice on top LOL. I chose the Sirukam beans and it's pretty good, doesnt really sour which I like 👌 Pancake with caramel sauce : it smelled good and the tekstur is fluffy enough with a bit crunch around the edge.. Caramel sauce is so-so, I think it'll taste good with vanilla ice cream too! -witch brew(?) : a mocktail, my cousin said it's good but I didnt taste it myself

Ambience was good, the view is nice too although the hotel blocked most of the mountain

The service was excellent, we ordered strawberry milk, cold brew and signature coffee.

I was suprised to know that the cold brew coffee was added with RUM. For a Muslim, this is HARAM. I found in the menu the other coffee was added with Irish cream which contains ALCOHOL. This is misleading for a Muslim but this cafe looks like normal coffee shop.
