Pical Sikai — Restaurant in Bukittinggi

Visited Pical Sikai, a well-known small shop in Bukittinggi that specializes in Pical (the West Sumatera version of Indonesian Pecel). This was our first meal in Bukittinggi as part of our adventure in West Sumatra.

This place has been around since my father was a child, and he used to come here often. It’s great to see it still going strong after all these years.

Since we weren’t too hungry, we only tried Lamang Tapai, which had a great balance of sweetness and slight tanginess from the fermented black glutinous rice. We didn’t get to try their signature Pical, but we made sure to get some takeaway for our family.

Unique place for Pecal /pical lovers ( Indonesian traditional vegetables combination). Some people are not interested with this kind of food , but for food lovers this is a must place to visit when traveling to this area.
