Pawon Luwak Coffee — Restaurant in Central Java

It is located outside Pawon temple, a Borobudur temple compound. The building is like typical traditional javanese house. They displays the unprocessed luwak coffee bean in front of the house. You can drink a cup of coffee in the living room for Rp25.000. They offer 2 kind of coffee, arabica and robusta. Beside that they also have coffee flavoured chocolate. In the backyard, they have 1 cute bubbly luwak pet, and a few wild luwak. the staff are all nice and explain everything to us without being asked. I was glad to stop by Pawon Luwak Coffee during our VW tour. It’s conveniently located right next to Candi Pawon. Here, you can see the whole process of making Luwak coffee, and the staff gives you a nice explanation. We even got to see and touch the Luwak animal, which was a fun experience!

We tried the Luwak coffee, and while it’s a bit pricey (as it is a luwak coffee), it was definitely tasty. You can also buy the coffee beans to take home with you.
