Kalasan Fried Chicken — Restaurant in City of Medan

Ayam goreng Kalasan located in Iskandar Muda street , petisah tengah, Kec. Medan Petisah , Kota Medan, Sumatra Utara. for accessibility to this restaurant is very easy to find, the road is paved and a lot of traffic and people on the road and because this is the middle of town. this restaurant has a complete facility, such as AC, playground for kids, for the bathroom is very big, nice and look expensive and have different toilet between women and men, and this place is very big, wide and so comfortable and very clean and there has big aquarium , have 2 floor. this restaurant open start from 11:00 am until 22:00 pm. in there of course we can eat any food, this restaurant famous because ayam goreng kalasan, you must try it, and we can try any food and drink, for kids can play in playground, take a pictures and enjoy the atmosphere in the restaurant. we can see so many fish in aquarium, we can see people eat with their family, I think it's fell happy or we can walk around this restaurant look their facility. we can buy food and drink, there is served so many food from rice, main course, dessert, snack and drink. and free...

Food a. Variety - famous for the ayam goreng kalasan, but there are few choices of seafood including clam, fish, prawns, and cuttlefish, chicken and lamb satay, vegetables, soups b. Quality/Taste - overall very well seasoned, short waiting time even if you ordered a lot dishes. c. Price - not too expensive. We spent almost 900k IDR for a family of 4 with 2 kids, and 3 adults. Ordered 2 dishes of vegetables, 1 fish weight around 1kg, 3 portion of satay (1 lamb and 2 chicken), clam, ayam goreng kalasan (fried whole chicken), and drinks.

Staffs - very friendly staffs, will assist you for anything you asked.

The restaurant itself is quite well-known within Medan and has built up quite the reputation, however a recent visit has shown me that the place itself has deteriorated. When I walked in, the place itself felt old. We asked to sit in the VIP however the room itself was very smelly and had this "barf smell". The staff told us that there was recent party so we opted for the tables outside. The plates were also dirty, but thankfully they brought clean ones. The menu was quite extensive and the service was quick. Food itself was on par indeed especially the fried chicken. The fried chicken was definition worth it. Overall the experience was good but not good enough unfortunately. However the branch in Cemara Asri is definitely better...
