Absolutely awful dim sum. Do not go for the all you can eat dim sum, its just a scam while they slowly bring out inedible dumplings and keep you hungry, so you endup eating the cheap stuff. Anything you order off the menu takes ages to arrive, alot of dumplings are not authentic hong kong style dim sum.
Lots of fake reviews too, do not trust them.
Reply to managements response: Just based on management’s defensive response, you can tell they have zero care about the dining experience of their customers and are a deluded bunch. Trust me when we weren’t the only unhappy table at the time, judge for yourself but be prepared to throw money down the drain for the all you can eat dim sum.
Dim Sum Quality: Dim sum is prepared by inexperienced chefs with unauthentic recipes. We’ve dined at various dim sum places around the world, this is my first time seeing a spiced lamb siu mai. This meat should belong on a bbq, not in a steamer. What an insult to cantonese cuisine. The complimentary voucher offered to us isnt complimentary at all, you still have to pay for one person to get one free. It’s also hard to ‘consume significant portion of dishes’, when absolutely nothing was coming out from the kitchen. We had to eat whatever subpar food that was coming out so as to not starve. So to say your staff observed we ate alot, is a false and blatant lie.
Service Timing: We were told only noodles and soup dumplings can be ordered via menu, the rest will come out on buffet trays. Almost no food was coming out from the kitchen in the hour we were there, prawn dumplings only came out once in that hour. Noodles and soup dumplings took almost 30mins to arrive when ordered. The buffet trays were constantly empty throughout the entire duration we were there.
Review Integrity: we have left plenty of 5-Star reviews, which management has failed to point out. Trust me when our review of the entire experience is genuine. Genuinely one of the most awful dim sum experiences we’ve had around the world.
Accusations of fake reviews: we will stand by our opinion that fake reviews of this place are aplenty, theres no way an establishment serving this crap would garner such positive feedback. Real name or not, does it even matter? Whoever wrote this response is so desperate to nitpick and deny the legitimacy of this review that it is actually hilarious. Expect a flood of 5-Star reviews with beautiful photos of their food to come in to offset this bad review 😁
And no, we won’t be returning. We suggest heading to warung Laota in Jimbaran to find authentic dim sum served in a timely manner (although halal), which is leagues better than the abomination of dumplings we were served here.
My final advice to owner/management - stay in your lane and do what you know, because obviously u dont know anything about dim sum / all you can eat concepts. And drop that defensive attitude, it won’t do you...
Read moreAbsolutely loved the dishes served here from their zhong shuijiao (dumplings with red sauce) to their noodles. Particularly the zhong dumplings, but even moreso their dumpling sauces! I have always asked for extra sauces because of how good it is (and that type of sauce specific to Chengdu dumplings is rather difficult to find anywhere else).
I recommend their wontons as well, the soup is really good! Upon arriving you are given simple refreshments consisting of tea and a small bowl of peanut. A bit of a downside is that they don't serve the mooncakes onsite (3 days preorder required) but still puts it on the menu. Would love some indication that it is a "preorder" on the system so it's crystal clear for us before we place an order. Hence for dessert, I recommend peach gums! Peach gums portion is small but it's always good as I've gotten it a few times.
The place itself is very comfortable with tasteful decor. I've been here a few times throughout the year and have also ordered from Grab many times. At the moment for some reason their Grab is often marked closed despite the restaurant itself being open - would appreciate it if there is more clarity on this, as I often ordered through the online app. Prices are also reasonable for this quality and authenticity of food and teas they serve. Definitely worth it making the trip to Sanur. Please keep up the good work and the quality, loved...
Read moreI recently visited Panda Express and had mixed feelings about the experience. As a native of Sichuan, I was initially excited to try their dishes, which appeared very authentic at first glance. However, upon tasting the food, I found myself quite confused. The flavors seemed to cater more to Western tastes rather than truly representing Sichuan cuisine.
One particular dish that stood out for all the wrong reasons was the "liangpi" (cold skin noodles). When we opened the container, we were shocked. Each piece of noodle was only five to six centimeters long and clumped together in a transparent mess, indicating the wrong type of flour had been used. It was an unformed product and not at all what we expected.
We sampled several traditional dishes, such as the boiled beef and spicy chicken. Unfortunately, except for the dry-fried intestines which tasted somewhat correct, none of the other dishes met our expectations.
Having lived in Europe for many years, we have experienced various adaptations of Sichuan cuisine, but the offerings at this restaurant were not something we could accept.
On a positive note, if you are looking for a comfortable dining environment, this place excels in service and ambiance. However, its location is a bit tricky to find as it is tucked away in a bypass curve, making it easy to miss. Be cautious when turning into the parking lot, as it can...
