A nice find tucked away on a semi busy street in Sanur! Located across from the gym that we go to, we were intrigued as we hadn’t eaten Lebanesian food in a long time an the menu looked super legit!
We stopped by in early afternoon and was excited to see they have the Mezze plates so we ordered 3 of them as each would cost 35k, but if you order 3, it’s only 85k which means you are saving 20k. Plus it’s great to share these plates! We also ordered a side Arabic bread for 15k which was super tasty, though I would have loved to see the bread built into the platters especially the hummus because you can’t have hummus without pita! :)
We ordered hummus, fattoush and the falafel, all three of which were tasty. Falafel was a nice size but I would have loved a crispier outside. The hummus could be a little creamier as it was on the watery side and then fattoush was super fresh!
As for mains, this is what we really came for as the chicken skewers were fantastic with the garlic sauce! Chicken was cooked to perfection and fell off the skewer and was super tender. The lamb steak we ordered was also really nice! Juicy and cooked nicely though I personally would have like my fat to be rendered more.
Overall for the two of us we spent 205k for a nice lunch which I think was a pretty fair price. The only suggestion I would make is to maybe come up with a lunch special platter that people can enjoy for lunch with some rice or salad or falafel. That has always worked well for people on the go.
Yummy food in a cute location! Can’t wait to bring more...
Read moreVisited here last night with friends, sat in the upstairs area which is a really comfortable and sociable place to enjoy food and watch the world go by.
The most endearing impression we all left with was the overwhelming hospitality on offer throughout. I can't recall the last time I felt so welcome in a restaurant. Not for a second because this is an area where other establishments fall short, simply because of the lengths Charbel and his team will go to to make you feel welcome.
This isn't a place for fine dining. The experience is led by the hospitality on offer and so it's an experience as close to having a family meal as I think you're likely to find.
The dishes themselves are all prepared with love and everything we had was excellent though I can't recall the names of most of them! We sampled at least 8 of the mezze dishes which were perfect for shared grazing with a bottle of wine which we brought with us at no extra cost - even though we had no opener! No problem for Charbel who immediately headed home to grab his own - what a gent.
We didn't sample many of the main courses. We had lamb dish in a sauce with tomatoes which wasn't entirely for me. I wish we'd ordered more of the cheese bread. The rice was exceptionally moreish.
Can't wait to return, it...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at the Lebanese Warung in Sanur, Bali, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was inviting and the service was excellent, making for a truly enjoyable evening.
The food was nothing short of spectacular. I started with the Fattoush, which was fresh and bursting with flavor. The Grilled Halloumi was perfectly cooked, offering a delightful combination of crispy exterior and soft, melty interior.
The Hummus was exceptionally smooth and paired perfectly with the warm pita bread. The Falafel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, seasoned to perfection. The Moutabal, with its smoky eggplant flavor, was another standout dish that I thoroughly enjoyed.
For dessert, I had the Halawa Pistachio, which was a delightful way to end the meal. It was sweet, nutty, and had a unique texture that left me wanting more.
Overall, the Lebanese Warung exceeded my expectations with its delicious food and excellent service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining...
