Sate Maranggi Haji Yetty - Cabang Cibubur — Restaurant in Depok

I’m not sure why, but it’s been a while since I visited the main branch in Purwakarta. This time, I tried the Cibubur branch instead.

First, the parking flow is quite chaotic. There’s not enough space, but thankfully valet service is offered for 15k. You just drop your car and eat, but surprisingly, you have to wait to get your car afterward. They really need to fix the parking system, even though most of the parking staff are friendly. However, one staff member was unprofessional and seemed irresponsible (on this date, 29/12, wearing a black short-sleeved shirt with dark brown skin).

Second, the size of the satay has gotten smaller, and the flavor doesn’t absorb well—it feels very dry. The goat meat tastes very gamey, which I didn’t like. The meat in the tongseng is generous, but it’s overly peppery, so if you don’t like spicy or peppery food, you can’t eat much of it. Overall, the satay lacks seasoning.

Third, the place is decent, but the lower floor feels quite stuffy. That’s why we chose to sit upstairs. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes upstairs. The toilets and other facilities are clean, though.

Fourth, some staff are friendly, but others seem undertrained. They talk casually, as if they’re speaking to friends, without realizing they have a responsibility as frontliners. We’re not expecting royal treatment, but we’re also not friends—we’re paying customers.

Sate Maranggi Haji Yetty opens a branch in the Cibubur area, There are three choices of Sate Maranggi that visitors can enjoy. First, sate maranggi kambing, then sate maranggi daging and sate maranggi ayam. Without peanut sauce, the sate maranggi here is served complete with spicy chili sauce mixed with chopped fresh tomatoes. The meat is also tender, the spices that are given feel seep into the meat. It tastes really good. This sate maranggi can be enjoyed with white rice wrapped in banana leaves. There is coconut ice too which is very fresh. Was expecting a lot from this restaurant. The satay look very little in every photo but they actually pretty big.

9/10 for the Sapi Satay, they are tender. 7/10 for the Ayam Satay, I think chicken is not the best option for maranggi satay anyway, the flavor does not come out well and the Kambing Satay.. sorry it was 5/10(?) they add fat into it that I cannot chew and swallow😭😭
