Nestled in Pluit, Jakarta, the renowned restaurant that serves Soto from Medan brings a delightful taste of tradition to its patrons. With a rich history tracing back to 1930 in its hometown, this eatery has mastered the art of crafting exceptional Soto. Opting for the chicken variant, I was treated to a bowl of sheer indulgence.
The soup, prepared with coconut milk, exuded a luscious creaminess that beautifully harmonized with the flavorsome spices. Each spoonful was a tantalizing journey of taste, as the fragrant broth coated my palate, creating a delightful symphony of flavors. The chicken meat was tender and succulent, perfectly complementing the medley of vegetables that added freshness and texture to the dish.
The restaurant's commitment to preserving the authenticity of Medan's Soto was evident in every aspect of the meal. The robust flavors and aromatic spices transported me to the bustling streets of Medan, even though I was seated in Jakarta.
With its long-standing legacy and dedication to quality, this restaurant has certainly earned its reputation as a haven for Soto enthusiasts. Whether you're seeking a taste of tradition or embarking on a culinary adventure, this establishment is a must-visit for anyone craving an exceptional bowl of...

Emping, kerupuk and perkedel are sold separately. Beverage choices are limited but i always happy with the orange juice here, so fresh and very "genuine" (lot of orange, less water). Badak with soto is a good...
