Bakmie Aloi — Restaurant in Jakarta

Bakmi Aloi is the typical of Palembang noodle that is famous and has several branches in Palembang, Jakarta, Tangerang, Bandung, and Lampung. Actually, it has been a long time for me not coming to Bakmi Aloi at Kelapa Gading. Mostly, I come to Bakmi Aloi at Grogol because the noodle and meat there are more delicious and savory. The place has a bigger space and more comfortable.

Besides noodle, they also provide white rice noodle and kwetiaw with the half, one, until one and half portion!

Here are what we tried :

Mie Komplit setengah porsi (IDR  37,000) The noodle here has a straight shape served with minced chicken, chasiu pork, mushroom, spring onions, and served separately with the broth and vegetables. There is the fat part from the chasiu pork. If you like pork fat, you are gonna love it! Although this is the half portion, but the portion is quite big.

Pangsit Goreng (IDR 9,000 per pcs) The fried pangsit size is quite big, crunchy with the soft texture. However, it tastes quite plain.

Bakso Goreng (IDR 11,000 / pcs) The fried meatball with no crispy texture and taste...

One of the best Palembang pork noodle! Opens early in the morning so you can have your quick breakfast here during weekdays.

They also serve light breakfast in the form of soup with various ingredients: tofu, bean sprout, mushrooms, bitter ground, etc. I saw some people order both noodles and soup and combined them. I tried it and it was very nice. The portion was too big, so better share it with one friend.

They provide many varieties of condiments, so you can adjust the taste your own: pickled shallots, green chillies, homemade chilli sauce, etc.

Snacks such as ngohiong and baso goreng are also very nice. They also sell pork skin crackers, nastars and other snacks.

Back to Bakmi Aloi, this time for lunch, I and my friends decided to go to Bakmi Aloi Kelapa Gading. As usual, I ordered their Mie Campur (Regular Size of 1 portion). In Bakmi Aloi, you can choose the size of portion between 0.5 / 1 / 1.5 (price varies due the servings 😬). In Mie Campur, you gonna get 2 type of pork meat toppings, which are Cincang (Minced Pork) and Cha-Sui (maybe they mean char siu 😬). This time, I also try their Siomai for additional side dish and must said totally satisfied with their Siomai (recommend their Siomai for you guys to try).
